Despite the highly original and generous use of marketing funds, this is not a pretty position for WPN. Running these promotions and being unable to see them through without a hitch is a losing proposition for the network. They're revealing cracks in the foundation to a very wide audience.

(As an aside, I am envisioning heads rolling across the business-grade carpeting of the WPN offices as I type this.)

We're slating significant portions (winning a tournament of this depth, even with turbo blinds, takes a while) of our otherwise productive days in order to play these events. It would be nice to see some creative distribution of the lost equity. That's assuming players have enough faith to grind on a site that has trouble keeping games running.

Nah bro no more I'd much rather save the cash than losing it on a sucky site sry.

Obviously today's events sucked. Sorry. We'll have a statement concerning this tomorrow. For now, we're working to make sure the rest of tonight's play has a smooth experience.

WPNRep. Would you say that as players, no matter what stake, our time is not valued? How about compensate players who showed up to play the freebuy series, who waited around why you guys tried fixing things on your end, only to get told "sorry, try again later"

Seriously. Our time is not valued at all. Only our money

Subject Freebuy events cancelled and rescheduled
On Sunday, August 30th, we were forced to cancel Events #14, #15 and #16 of the $150,000 GTD Freebuy Super Series II due to technical issues. All players were refunded their money.
Even though there was no way to foresee the problem, we take full responsibility and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.
To make amends, we are rescheduling not only the three tournaments that were canceled, but all six on yesterday’s slate (see new schedule below). The rescheduled date is for Monday, September 7th, extending the Freebuy Super Series II by one day.
Thank you very much for your understanding.

This can be easily foreseen as it has happened every time you hold a major series.

Rescheduling these events to a Monday does not help the people that wasted their time Sunday waiting for these events to start. Especially to those who have jobs they have to be at during the week.

I agree it's not quite the same but at least they're running them rather than not. It helps Monday is Labor Day a lot of people in the US are off work.

Would have liked to see them added to Sunday along side the final day's schedule but with the traffic level that would bring, probably not wise at this point.

Scheduling it on Labor Day should not be a problem for a lot of people. They could've gone the "too bad" route, but they are giving us a chance to play them again.

Well done ACR!

They still have a whole week of other tournaments to get to....stay tuned! I'd almost put money that by the end of this series, they suspend/cancel at least 1 more event.

Until a stance is taken to hurt WPN financially, you will continue to see poor service and crappy software.

I'd bet my entire ACR bankroll that'll be the 20k on Sunday the 6th.

+1

Never getting another dollar from me. They let the tournament continue after a nearly 30-minute pause and my table finally opened with 360 chips in my stack. Free or not, these tournaments are a fustercluck which serves only to highlight poor management and infrastructure. WPN has destroyed themselves as the result of a promotion any other site would've been happy to have pioneered.

Somebody doesn't get jokes around here.

FYI #30 was cancelled refunded and i rescheduled for 2.30pm ET today!

I have tried to play 5 of these. I have been successful in 1. Another one cancelled just now after sitting there for 30 minutes with nothing going on. No way I feel comfortable putting money on here again. Pathetic.

Freebuy Series should be called "You Get What You Pay For Series"

I pulled my money off a month ago... tried playing 4 of these.. all failed. Way to run a business guys! Keep it up.

These stupid things screw up the rest of the site. What a joke. ..I got 5$ on some new servers
09-02-2015 , 04:27 PM
At this point the whole thing needs to be cancelled. ACR is just losing money since the guarantees are never met, and that's even if the client works for the tournament to finish. I know it's to get new players, blah blah blah, but if you're site can't even run with high traffic who the hell is going to want to deposit money on an unstable client? It's a joke.

This is pretty damn bad

I'm curious what's gonna happen with the 5 upcoming Milly tourneys. If this happens during those tourneys, there might be an exodus of MTT players. Basically the ones that havn't already left.
