False Advertising for Midstakes Rake (2/4~3/6) False Advertising for Midstakes Rake (2/4~3/6)

Hi,

I recently have deposited some money on Black Chip Poker a skin of winning poker network with the intention of putting a lot of volume at midstakes cash game tables, thanks to the following informational chart :

http://www.blackchippoker.eu/poker-c...support/rake/#

Where it is claimed that $0.05 for each $5 in Pot. Significant improvement over the rest of the industry & I thought this would be enough to overcome the other deficits of the site such as slow speed, no rakeback and (most of all) inability to view mucked hands. Initially I viewed the claim with some scepticism however upon googling the phrase '$0.05 for each $5 in Pot' it shows some other skins under the network which display identical figures.

As you can see, it`s not true at all !! 1% of a $16 pot should be $0.16 in rake instead it is being charged $0.80 or 5%. I have looked at the subsequent hand and deducted the stack amount to make sure that it is not some issue with Pokertracker 4.

Luckily I looked up my rake figures in Pokertracker before playing another session. Any American players who signed up for the skin Americas Card Room after consulting those rake charts and did not find out until thousands of hands later may be eligible to file a false marketing claim as this sort of thing is supposed to be illegal under Ftc Regulations.

If you guys had stated the rake properly I may have played here anyway because of all the fish. But the feeling of almost being tricked is leaving a very sour taste in my mouth.

I cant believe no one else has reported this. Am i a fish or is this not equally bad as, getting a online mag sub quoted at $10.99 a month not checking the credit card balance and then finding out years later that every month ur getting charged $54.99?????????????? Clearly this has happened to someone.

Hi,

tbh im not 100% clear on what your actually saying here but one question that i will need to ask you is, are you playing on the jackpot tables?

These tables are in the colour red in our lobbies?

It's a typo that is in the below link:

A few months ago I suggested that it was a typo in the below thread when someone said what an amazing rake it was but the thread ended with my post so it wasn't noticed:

Just for the record, BCP does have rakeback. I agree that the inability to see mucked hands is a big problem.

I`m quite sure, that it was not a BBJ Table, as surely the rake would have been even worse than 5% with $1 cap.

If its a typo its one of the strangest given its so similar to 5/10+ don't see why they would want a diff. structure in the first place. And obv should be corrected asap.

Its definitely a typo, in the text below the rake chart, it says "5% rake capped at a maximum of $3."

They aren't going to rake 5% up to $1/$2, then 1% from 2/4 to 4/8, and then 5% again at 5/10+.
