I wouldn't be so sure of that....if that website has any plan on staying in business...they'll refund their players....nobody will play at a site that takes $500 from a person and refuses to refund them when they can't log back in for 2 hours....

Think about how many millions of dollars this site will lose after this debacle....if they don't refund their players the $1 Million for this event...nobody will trust them...nobody will play at their site....refunding $1 Million in buy ins is the only thing that will keep this site is business and prevent them from losing millions more in revenue.

Not seeing/hearing similar complaints by NJ players, playing in some Party/Borgata and/or WSOP tourneys right now as well......

Makes me feel this is non DOS/DDOS attack related.

its the same exact issue they've had for any major event they've planned in last year....every single tourney series the main event starts and these exact problems begin.

sure it would be a great time to try and DDOS someone and extort them....but honestly I think their software cannot handle this sort of traffic.

how could they expect to run a tourney this big? Bovada has way more player traffic and they don't. How is Bovada running right now? How is Merge running right now? I was lagging and disconnecting in the 10k on Revolution so its running bad.

feels more like a problem specific to WPN's servers, especially considering they cancelled other events running simultaneous to this, to accommodate the traffic. seems like they were aware of bandwidth issues.

With all these issues nobody is going to re-enter unless they are an idiot which probably makes up 150-250 entrants they are missing out on alone and some others probably just gave up trying to get in throughout the week due to all the crashes that went on.

I agree that you should get refunded, and probably how this will roll out is, the tournament will finish normally and then they will have a period of time where they will issue refunds on a case by case basis, because obviously there is going to be people taking advantage of this to get a refund, so what I was saying is be sure to have proof, and I'm sure wpn will be smart and refund everyone who should be.

Ok good to know that at least some of the offshore USA accepting sites are not laggy crap. Cause they 2 I have been playing on recently have. Winning and Revolution. I only play on Sunday on Revolution though.

The hand histories aren't even right. I played a hand to the river bet with only one player left we both checked the river, then it froze. When it came back had lost the hand and the history showed a guy that had folded won the hand.

Todays Party Poker $50k GTD has been running for an hour or so now w/200ish entries. Have not seen/heard of a similar complaint of LAG, D-Cons, or System Freezes.

So it appears whatever is happening at WPN today, unlike problems earlier this week, are specific to WPN, and not happening industry wide.

i deposited on this site for the first time just to play this event. horrible way to lose new customers.

they shoulda cancelled this event 1 or 2 hrs in when they realized it was going to be persistent. they're going to have way too many complaints the further this goes on w/ the inevitable "i was big stack ready to call my KK all-in but it wouldnt let me click" or something stupid like that
