Spend the money to counter the DDOS attacks instead of being a victim. Are you really going to be at the mercy of your competitors forever?

Got one table back up not running and am un'regged from another I was playing with no refund. Pretty sure while it was stuck, I left the table of a R/A (while having a stack), it considered this quitting and I can't get back in.

I totally agree with you guys about all the gimmicks they've added. All those things have to add to the server overload. DDOS attack excuse is usually bull**** imo. If it's DDOS why does it seem to happen mostly during OSS? It certainly seems to crash when they have a high volume of players? They need to stop f'ing around and upgrade their servers.

Cash games are running btw. Why would cash games continue to run but tournament not? That doesn't really make sense. Guess the servers are partitioned, IDK.

Okay I left table thereby turning off double rebuy, it restarted before I could log in, I blinded off, did not rebuy because I left the 'hung' table, and got knocked out. Is it even worth requesting a refund do you think? Somewhere btwn $10-14, don't remember how many rebuys

I get it, it's hard to be calm and think things properly when so riled up. Don't get me wrong people should rightfully be riled up.

However let's take a deep breath and think about these things.

Would ACR knowingly compromise their servers just to have avatars?

Could a site be a much juicier target to DDoS during their flagship series and high volume times?

Why would a site communicate with it's players they're being succesfully DDOS'd if it could lead to other hackers making attempts except to be honest with their user base?

While this is balanced and well thought out, ACR has been far from transparent.... Their lack of communication is what allows people to speculate in the first place....

Good points. and I know DDOS attacks are rampant so it's definitely possible. I doubt the avatars, dumb as they are, affect their servers at all. The double up your win in MTTs and the spin to get in and other additions might have a little effect but I doubt it's enough to cause or worsen any real server problems.

I just think they need to invest some of the resources they're using to add all these "gamble" additions to poker to beef up their security and their servers.

I'm thinking the issue has to do more with the $1,000,000 GTD.

I believe they would knowingly spend time on something like this instead of more important reliability enhancements because avatars are more visible than reliability enhancements. And things like that reply tv system button they added next to the avatar can only hurt reliability and give more things for the attackers to ddos and cause problems IMO.

They resumed mtts lol and didnt tell us. i had to actually reopen table just to play.. i left tables open just to wait for it and they didnt resume on their own. reopen your tables guys! I was blinding off..

I think it's pretty normal for a poker site to retain a research and development team that'd know nothing about servers. Not saying that ACR can't do a better job but I don't think it's that black and white.

It is pretty much black and white. The problems are consistent and getting worse. Shut the f'n thing down for a day or two and fix it. I was just frozen out of another SNG that I was in and went from a big chip leader with 4 left to finishing in third. That has happened to me at least ten times of recent. I get moved from one table to the next and the damn buttons to act aren't there. I posted screen shots, sent PMs, emails to support, etc... and not a damn peep from anyone.

If they have an R&D team, W.T.F. are they doing??? Client needs to shut down, send the logs when it finally comes back. Where the hell do the logs go, is Stevie Wonder looking them over? I have a technology company and we do high speed compression of high def and super high def video. When there is a problem, we have people work 24/7 to fix it. This **** has been going on forever and it is getting really old putting up with it.

i have the same experience -- many times being moved to a new table in an mtt and the buttons to act are missing. Tilting to say the least.

I've been a long term supporter/defender of the site, here and in private leagues. It has gotten to the point where it is just too f'n irritating and a waste of time and money to bother with. Earlier this afternoon I tried to re-enter a tournament and the button was not live. I wouldn't have made the f'n call if I knew I was unable to rebuy. Pissed away $50 there for no goddamn reason, the **** adds up.

CHILL OUT MAN! It will get fixed at the same time as show cards at showdown. I guess you stopped winning so you dont defend the site anymore? Lock your stats like everyone else. haha

Checking back on this thread tomorrow afternoon before i consider regging anything. Software has always been the achilles heel of this network, they could have been #2 worldwide for years now if they knew what they were doing on the software side.
