How bout you just give a refund for every tournament played?

oh that's right your a ****en selfish pos company, with a pos site that has been crashing since it was first made, you couldn't handle the volume today

and you wont be able to handle the volume next sunday

so what should players do get on your slow ass chat and waste another hour of their life, HOW BOUT SINCE YOUR SITE SUX, YOU GIVE REFUNDS TO EVERYBODY

you have been apoligzing since black Friday, instead of an apology why don't you say the truth as to why your site is trash?

This is good news / bad news. We had more people playing tonight than ever before. This exposed a server flaw and we were able to fix it. Everything should be working fine now save a couple tournaments that started before the server problem was fixed.

We will not leave a customer with a bad experience from this: We will be generous with the refunds.

The reason I requested players to reach out to customer service is because many times when we reach out to players, we discover they entered incorrect phone numbers and/or emails bounce. If you have entered correct information, we will be in touch to ensure you are taken care of.

How much money did you spend putting banners all over 2+2? I know its a lot

Why wouldn't you spend that money on some tech people that fix the problems you've had for 5 years?

Why don't you clean house with your current pos staff of tech people

You are way out of line! They worked as fast as they could to fix the problem. I had alot of chips in the 15k and min cashed even though i saw plenty of good hands time out on me. Yeah i'm pissed but calling them scum bags is seriously wrong. They try. Now i'm sure they will amp up their software. Trial and error. I mad a whole 6$ for 6 hours due to the lag and am very angry but you should never spout this hatred. Say hey wpn pull your heads out of your azz, and what not. But they made every effort to fix it. Now if this shyt happens again and support tries to blame us i may merit some of your comments but come on they tried.

You guys were doing such a great job, but this was a major setback. You will probably be losing most of the new player pool that you brought in with this series. This type of player flow should have been foreseen with the GTD's that were being offered. Big disappointment WPN !

Isnt the rake and overlay money their's to begin with? Seems pretty silly t get upset about that

It sounds like you are upset at something.

You need to realize that in the end, this situation was out of their control.

Servers crash/get overloaded and issues occur. It's been fixed/is being fixed.

Do you really think they WANT an issue like this to occur? That is more work/loss of revenue for them. I think you are pretty simple for your nonsense posts.

Lets give them a chance for redemption. Lets see where they go from here. I do agree that every time there is a crash support is quick to say all is good even though we are staring at 5 players sitting out. I've spent so many hours on live chat and emailing support while they say all is well on our end. This is a wake up call for wpn. I am still willing to give them another chance, now if it keeps happening than we know they have no intentions to become the greatest since black friday. It's in your hands wpn, no more blaming our internet providers. Let's get it right this time. As is right now i have to play on another site until evenings before tables open up. The chance is there obv if you had the most amount of players tonight and i say congrats. Lets get it right this time. My initial crash thread brought upon 10 fold more responses than wpns ceo because i was there from the beginning to question what was going on and wondering why support was blaming me while i was staring at several other players sitting out.

Ive been playing WPN for almost a year and I can honestly say I cant remember even having one network issue. Tonight was a total anomaly that will probably never happen again or would rarely happen again.

You must not spend much time here. It's been a pretty common issue for a long time, but has been better lately. I must say, it's pretty disappointing to see this happen after all of the positive things that have been going on. They finally make an effort to get their name out there in a big way and just face plant on a Sunday...

People can joke but some of these comments are way too harsh here.

All I will say to support is if this is a bandwidth issue and only you guys deep down know if it is then you might want to try to fix/improve that prior to next weeks $1 million guaranteed tournament cause if you get the 2k+ entrants in it and a bunch of railbirds watching it might break the network.

I think a lot of the reason today was so disappointing is because in the past a lot of rooms haven't handled situations like this well.

Would love to see WPN leave everyone with a smile on their face.

WPN TD I hope you guys are aware of the issues and basically confirmed DDoS attacker on Merge network today? People on 2+2 as well as the DDoSer himself have soft confirmed that he has DDoSd people on PartyPoker and PokerStars as well. I hope you guys are taking that threat seriously and investigating with your fullest efforts. I really hope you read this.

Completely wrong.

It works like this - WPN is just one point on a huge series of interconnected nodes, some of which are critical path nodes.


This is an example and not intended to be an actual diagram of WPN's specific connections - just a general "HOW EVERYONE CONNECTS" example.

WPN is on the right bottom. It's connected thru an ISP. That ISP connects thru a bigger system. Then there's a series of links - or hops - that eventually get to us - bottom left - the players.

Our computers have to go thru ALL those points to talk to WPN. If a critical point goes down along the way, it ****s us all over, and WPN CAN DO NOTHING, EVEN THOUGH EVERYONE IS AFFECTED.

In such a situation, y'all would be blaming the dealer for the bad beat here.

Now that is not to say that there can't be problems with WPN's servers that ARE the cause. What I'm saying is that a lot of people being affected, even everyone being affected, is not automatically WPN's fault. There are many possibilities.

My HU SnG has been frozen/paused since last night. I spoke with support several times and weren't that helpful. Do you have any idea when this will be fixed?
