not that i have explicit knowledge of their infrastructure, but why wouldn't they be? have you ever been to a business office of any sort? they're probably running the show out of an office space filled with desks cubicles computers and a couple of offices for management. they're running a company for profit. one of the ways u maximize your gains is by keeping overhead expenses low. it would literally be ******ed to have 7 different offices to handle things that could be consolidated into one office. so yes, they almost assuredly are 'all in the same room'
like if u call ur boa or wells fargo customer support line, u don't actually think you're being connected to some random person having a latte at starbucks and browsing the web down the street, do u? when they say hold a moment let me get a manager, u don't think they mean to Skype call them at a different location, do you? of course not. because that would be ******ed.
fwiw I actually thought they handled the crash relatively well. got blinded off for a few hands, which was pretty lame in a turbo satty, but the loss was effectively negligible due to the quick pause. once the servers were up and running again, I personally experienced no issues the rest of the night. not sure if anyone else experienced the same.
worried about more crashes on sunday, but really hopeful about how they'll be handled this time vs last time. it would be super lame to have the million run until 7am PST the next day because of server pauses though lollllllllllllllllllllll
