Clearing a deposit bonus - seriously is this right? Clearing a deposit bonus - seriously is this right?

Every source online is telling me I need to accumulate 27.5 award points to clear each $1 in bonus money. According to this I need to rack up 27,500 points to clear a 1k bonus...okay...

Come to find out apparently you get 5.5 award points per $1 contributed in rake.

This means I must rake $5k to clear my $1k bonus?

This busts down to a cool ~280k hands at 25NL, which would all have to be played within the 60 day bonus period.

This seems way, way too terrible to be true. Hopefully I'm just dumb and calculated this all wrong.

Some please enlighten me...

How much did you think you would have to rake to clear 1k? I've never done deposit bonus but fairly certain you're correct about it being 5k to clear 1k. Which I'm also pretty sure that's standard for most sites.

Ehhh...I cleared Bovadas deposit bonus (I got it for $500) in ~35k hands of 25nl.

play above your bankroll allows, its the only way to clear the bonus in 60 days plus it totally worth potentially going busto for

Reload bonuses are typically marginally better, easier to clear, that the first deposit bonus.
Also remember that the RPs are earned by the dealt method, but it the APs that clear bonuses, and they have the weighted contributed method. A very tight player will take significantly longer than a splashy player.

Dude, this has been an issue for quite a while. They bonuses are impossible to clear unless you mass table or play mid stakes it seems.

I had a $100 bonus I think while 9+ tabling the micros and I think I got like $8 lol. Never had such a problem like this on other sites. Used to be easy peezy compared to this....

20% rakeback, i think thats a decent bonus. yes, u may not clear it all but do what u can bro. u dont have to deposit a full 1k either

ya ur probably right it sucks w/e. But we are lucky we have any reload bonuses imo. Competition isnt having them i dont think? And ya its going to be super hard to clear every bonus like this is pretty similiar i think

Reload bonuses exist (Not many sites offer Reload Bonuses as generously and frequently as WPN does.)

While it was easier for you to clear your bonus with Bovada, note that Bovada does not have a Rakeback / Rewards program that is even close to that of WPN. You can also withdraw funds and you do not lose your progress or are forced to cancel your deposit bonus.

I mean, it's free money. I got the 1,000$ deposit bonus and will clear it pretty easily within the 2 month period. Granted I grind the sit and crush race every week. xD

yeah because it totally preposterous for someone to want (easy) money.

For everyone complaining, you should do some research and see where WPN lands in respect to other US-friendly sites. #knowyourfacts

Well their first deposit bonus is crap compared to Bovada. But WPN has their rakeback and rake races which obviously Bovada doesn't...Each site has their pros and cons, what's new.

It's not a big deal and I suppose I'd still clear most of it in the 60 day period, I was just hoping for it to be a little easier, oh well.

Looks like you'll be filling the 25nl tables with the rest of the other 5 regs at your tables To be honest, I don't even deposit expecting to clear any type of bonus. I deposit to play poker, knowing free money isn't really going to be free. Bovada gave me free $15 again...you think they'd let you run normal and build it up? naw...they can't make you redeposit that way. It's alla bout enticing you to dump money onto the site and keep playing to generate rake.

as far as first deposit bonuses go WPN has some of the better RB% clearing ones available in 2015

If I switch to a new skin can I use the first deposit bonus again on that skin or is it only once for the entire network?

Yes. You can take advantage of the first deposit bonus once per skin.

Save your time and money if you have a 1k bonus pending. Buddy the site will destroy you before you ever hit the first release. I play 6 hours a day on four to 6 tables. it takes a week to even get a medal released in my benefits. So rake over 876 dollars here is a ten dollar medal Ty come again.

I have a rakeback acct not elite benefits. I hear rakeback is a better for lower volume/lower stakes players. You can just e-mail them and ask them to switch you to rb
