I just recieved an email from poker host that the new software is going to be released this Tuesday. Would it be possible to get a preview of what to expect?

I don't want to be a debbie downer, but let's look at WPN's track record. I wouldn't get those hopes too high.

my main concern is that the software is going to be same as the software used by jackpots and sng 2.0 If that's what it is going to be I most likely will never be playing on wpn again.

New software is not being release on Tuesday. We will have downtime on Tuesday simply for maintenance.

The new client we're working on is virtually identical to what we have now in terms of what the client looks like. All the differences are backend and multiplatform capabilities. We will make user experience / visual improvements after that software has launched and we consider things stable.

chopsy: What are the top 3 things you dislike about the JP and 2.0 experience?

So the email says the network will be performing an upgrade to release the new version of their software. Those are the exact words. Guess I got excited for no reason.

As for what I don't like about the jackpot software, I guess my biggest complaint would be it takes to long to load a new tangle when a game starts. Sometimes a game starts with me sitting out. Overall I find the software for jackpots and sng 2.0 a cheap downgrade from the software the cash games use. I just wish the network would have software that was simple, fast and clean looking. I have mentioned before it just seems there is to much going on and when I reach say 6-8 tables the lag almost becomes unbearable.

Please just give us readable size fonts on bet sizes, pot size, player names, and so on when the tables are tiled to a small size.

Will this new back-end to the software allow the system to have "Mucked Cards at Showdown" and/or Super Knock Out tournaments?

One change on launch I'm planning is mucked cards as showdown.

PROG KO's is not in the launch plan. (typo edit)

The 2.0 experience just feels sluggish. It's weird because it's newer than the MTTs and cash games, but those feel as fast as they need to be.

Just played first session of MTT's tonight and the software updated fine, but I was still not able to view mucked cards at showdown. Maybe this is still being implemented, but sure had my hopes up.

It'll be a while yet.
