first of all, the amount of money you've deposited, and lost, is irrelevant.

at this point, we have no reason to believe its anything besides a simple hiccup in their roll out of a NEW payment method....they might be overwhelmed by a huge increase in deposit/payout requests.

please copy and paste a direct quote of their response to you....i have a very hard time believing your claim(s); there is obviously more to this story. either you misunderstood what they said(aka they meant "you cannot deposit at this time"), or there's a GOOD reason they will not allow you to use Bitcoin...maybe something to do with the documents you sent in? have you ever run into issues with WPN in the past?

I'm guessing the reason they are only asking for these documents now, when you've already deposited before, is because Bitcoin is anonymous and is more prone to all kinds of fraud/deception including collusion and cheating. if they just allowed anyone to deposit without verifying their account, it would open up a big can of worms. i'm also guessing that once your allowed to deposit using Bitcoin, you are also able to withdrawal using the method....and naturally, they must verify your account before processing withdrawals.

Now the option no longer appears in the cashier.

Dumb BTC question here...

Every time I withdraw to my Xapo, my bitcoin wallet address is different. Does this happen every time my Xapo account receives money from another bitcoin wallet?

I'm guessing I need to use the new address for each new withdrawal. Along the same lines, is it okay to process a few bitcoin withdrawals to the same wallet address or will the 2nd and 3rd get stuck in limbo once BCP processes the first w/d and Xapo, consequently, changes the wallet address again?

any chance it will increase to 10k or 15k again? (withdrawl)

yup just checked, the Bitcoin method is up and running for me...about to try it out.

Have coinbase and blockchain account. I see my address for both coinbase and blockchain. I will mostly use blockchain to receive btc from gambling sites and other people and send btc from blockchain to gambling sites. Rarely would i use coinbase except to buy bitcoin or sell bitcoin from blockchain. I was told to receive bitcoin to my blockchain account or even coinbase, i need to tell the other party what is my bitcoin address. I see what it is on blockchain. What im confused is i read you need to generate a new address everytime. Can someone explain this? That doesn't make any sense.

Example if my bitcoin address on blockchain is kfajsdj;faksjfasdjfkasjdfadjsfjadsfjasjklafsff0opo-2930-9-019, then have the other party or site send me bitcoins. So you saying the 2nd time i receive bitcoins from a gambling site, im not suppose to give that same bitcoin address on blockchain? That doesn't make any sense. Because i see ppl here post their bitcoin address for donattions or whatever so you going to have different addresses? I heard you only use the address just once... that doesn't make sense at all. So each time i use a bitcoin address to receive btc, then i generate a new one and the old one is no more? If thats the case, then why do ppl post their btc address in their profile etc since they only receive it once?

Or is this only for sending btc from an address to another gambling site? Im really confused at this as theres a new address each time which makes no sense for me.

Also if i use a desktop wallet like multibit or electrum, does that mean i still have to generate new address each time? If so is it for sending or receiving or both? This is pretty confusing to me b/c i figure you only have 1 address that you receive btc to. Also sending btc from your address means you can only do it once? Really confused at this.

I will be requesting BTC from wpn very soon and like to know this. Also is it 1 free cashout a week with wpn for bitcoin? I deposited via skrill and was told cashouts are once a week. I would be withdrawing through skrill or btc but prefer btc.

Yes, Xapo automatically generates a new address for you every time you want to recieve bitcoin.

You can re-use the same address and it would work, but I wouldn't recommend it.

There are virtually an infinite amount of bitcoin addresses possible, so generating a new one for each withdrawal isn't a big deal.

Using a new address each time makes it more difficult to track how much money you move where it's from.

For that same reason WPN should be using different addresses to send withdrawals from.

Good work on getting bit back up and running quick

ok so I created a Blockchain wallet and I noticed this under account settings:

Quote:
Blockchain.info transactions are free of charge. However the bitcoin network may require an additional Miners Fee which affects the speed your transactions are verified and helps support the network. Change the settings below to alter the default Miners Fee Policy.

Frugal - A Miners fee will not be included unless absolutely essential. Transactions will be significantly slower to confirm.
Normal - Follow the fee policy suggested by the mainline bitcoin client. Recommended.
Generous - Fees will be set to ensure transactions are high priority (0.001 BTC Base Fee).
I've been reading about some slow BTC transactions with WPN cashouts....and miners fees(or lack thereof) were being blamed for the delays. right now its set on the default(Normal) but I want to make sure my cashout transactions are speedy and hassle-free....do I need to change any settings with my blockchain/coinbase wallets?
02-05-2015 , 08:31 PM
Normal should be fine.
02-05-2015 , 09:02 PM
im so confused with bitcoin...

someone help lol
02-05-2015 , 09:12 PM
Yeah, "normal" is good enough. Should only be 0.0001 btc.

And Coinbase automatically pays the fee for you when you're sending from there.

Got another question. So coinbase charges 1 percent fee plus 0.15 each transaction whether buying bitcoin or selling bitcoin. But circle theres no fees at all? If thats the case, why would anyone use coinbase then? I have coinbase/blockchain acct but havent used it yet.
02-06-2015 , 01:14 AM
I use Coinbase (for now.. will probably switch to Circle) simply because I've used it more. I know what to expect, I'm familiar with it etc. But yeah, I will probably be switching to Circle because of the fee.

I use Coinbase because when I first heard of Circle it was invite only. Right now, I believe Circle accepts everyone, but I'm lazy and already have a fully verified account on Coinbase, so I still use it. I'll probably give Circle a try in the future because I've heard a lot of good things about it.

That's right. I've used Coinbase for a couple years but recently switched to Circle because of that.

I would recommend setting up and verifying an account on both. That way you can compare the rate at each site before you buy/sell and get the best deal.

And if you get unlucky and one closes your account you are already set up on the other.

Circle doesn't charge fees but your CC/Bank likely will. The first time I used Circle I did it for some work testing and used my CC like a moron and got hit with a $10 cash advance fee. When I transferred from my CU checking account to circle it only cost me $1.
02-06-2015 , 12:45 PM
I have had luck calling my bank and requesting the cash advance fee be removed. I told them I was paying for a service.

I called asking about it when it happened because I wasn't sure what it was for and they said it was related to the circle transaction and didn't seem willing to remove it. It was for work testing and I can probably get it reimbursed but it was just $10 so not really too worried about it since work treats me pretty well as it is.

How many bitcoin withdraws can you do? I was told you can only request 1 bitcoin withdraw per week... is that true? Im sure i read otheres here required btc a few times so unsure if this is correct or not.

Also has anyone here played in the sportsbook? Apparently... u can only transfer $2500 max per day from poker to sportsbook and vice versa. So if you have say over $2500 in your sportsbook account and say nothing in your poker account. say you have $3000... but want to withdraw it all via bitcoin, u need to first transfer $2500 from sportsbook to poker... wait another 24 hours... then transfer the other $500 to the poker then you can cashout $3000 via bitcoin. Apprently u cant cashout from sportsbook to bitcoin or skrill.

So are BTC withdrawals only processed during weekdays? Would it be pointless to request one right now?
