Re: Bitcoin Deposits and Withdraws

Do to all the lag problems at the other site. I am considering making a deposit here.

If I use Bitcoin only will I need to upload any documents before I can withdraw? Thanks

More of a Coinbase question but I am withdrawing from coin base to my bank account and it is saying it takes 6 days. Is that standard?

Saturday morning (5/27) I have still not received the funds so i call WPN. At first I am told they will need to call me back because it appears they sent the money already but there is definitely some confusion on her end. She is unable to tell me how many coins were sent tho which was in my opinion a red flag that they had not been sent yet. Few hours later I call back (of course no one called me) and claim that they sent the money Friday and that bitcoin transactions have been slower than normal. However I am skeptical of this due to the fact that at no point did my bitcoin account have pending transactions. I was refreshing my bitcoin account every hour friday so I could instantly cashout the funds and not be subject to bitcoins extreme volatilty.

When I finally received the funds Saturday afternoon my account stated that at the time of receiving the coins their worth was only $21,692. When I look at all my other withdrawals from WPN they ALL are within 100$ of my requested cashout amount. I called live support and was given the blanket response of 'bitcoin is volatile' which I most definitely understand, it just does not seem to explain other inconsistencies. As far as I know it has never taken 30 hours for a transaction to be confirmed and even if so I was under the impression that the transaction would always appear as 'pending'

I am not here to complain. I have sent all my information to winning_td. My question is do I have a legitimate gripe? Am I correct in my assertion that if they had actually sent the coins when they claimed that the transaction would have appeared as 'pending confirmations'?

**I have a theory that they meant to send me the coins on Friday and for whatever reason someone dropped the ball and it was labeled as paid out when it actually wasn't. When I called I believe I prompted someone to actually initiate the transaction and instead of being paid out what the current bitcoin rate was I was given the rate of the day before which was drastically higher. (According to bitstamp on Friday it hovered between $2500-$2300 per coin. Saturday afternoon at the time I received BTC was worth ~$2080). I have provided photos of the current cash out and previous cashouts to show the discrepancy. Was I just a subject of a volatile market or did I get kind of screwed by WPN?

when you withdrawal thru bitcoin is a gamble, depends on the bit stamp at the time the money hit your wallet, in most cases you win money because the btc value goes up every day, just bad luck that you lose.

Agreed after further research. I was unaware just how slow transactions were getting as of lately. Highly likely just unlucky

I tried to transfer some funds from Circle to my bank account but they notified me now (only after I transferred the funds from Blockchain to Circle) that they can't do this for me anymore.

Am I the only one with this issue? I didn't find any info by searching.

What is the solution? Should I send the money back to Blockchain and use another service like Circle?

Thanks for the help.
I was able to send the money back to Blockchain.

I'm in Hawaii - and thus Coinbase will not allow me to create an account.

Can someone tell me what my options are to retrieve my funds from Blockchain?

Thanks!

Re: Bitcoin Deposits and Withdraws

So Coinbase is completely sucking ass right now, it won't let me add any form of payment. Says "login attempts exceeded please wait 24 hours" everytime, and when I try to upload my ID for paypal it just loads a blank window....wtf.

I sent a support email 5 hours ago and haven't gotten a response. Seems really shady to have a system glitching this hard that is supposedly the #1 wallet...

It's a wallet that's not #1. As an exchange, you could argue that it is.

If you've got an account on another site, you could cash out bitcoin to your wallet, deposit, plus send the $9.95 bitcoin for bitpay card.

I'm not trying to pay $9.95, which is why I'm trying to use BTC in the first place, but thanks

the issue is cardrooms can exploit the volatility of crypto currency by acting as their own exchange and use the random delay of "approving and executing deposit/withdrawal requests" while having adequate bitcoin reserve. you're not quoted up front with a BTC amount....

I don't get it. Can you describe how this would work and why it would be advantageous for a card room to do that instead of just playing the bitcoin market?

It's not much different than shorting or buying options.

In a long-term bear (down) market keep BTC reserves small and increase the frequency of open market transactions to protect against deflation.

In a long-term bull (upward) market keep BTC reserves high and decrease the frequency of open market transactions to benefit from appreciation.

On days when volatility is high, transactions could be temporarily expedited/delayed to arbitrarily choose the "best" rate during that time.

Re: Bitcoin Deposits and Withdraws

Aren't all of those relying on an ability to predict market movement? My takeaway is that there is no inherent advantage to doing it with player transactions rather than their own funds. Perhaps you can convince me by showing the steps for individual deposits / withdrawals.

Re: Bitcoin Deposits and Withdraws

I also requested my first w/d from ACR today via BTC, not nearly the amount of exotic08. I asked support how long it should take to get processed and unfortunately was told it can take 72 hours for some reason and that they do not process over the weekend. I went back and forth with support for over 30min trying to figure out why it would take three days to process a BTC transaction and also what does it matter that banks are not open on Saturday and Sundays when dealing with BTCs. Finally I just asked if they could please try and get the w/d processed by the end of business today and was told that they would try and speed up the w/d, but as of now its still processing. I know they only do this hoping that I will lose the money I left on the site and cancel the w/d.
