Hmm I started a withdrawl from my circle to bank account last night when btc was still ~310, now its dropped to 290 am I locked in @ the old price or will something else happen.

They should send over the amount of BtC on the time that processing is over IIRC, so you should receive at the new price.

When you sell bitcoin to Circle you are locked in to the price at that time. You'll get the amount of money in your bank that they quoted you.

The sale of bitcoin from you to them happens instantly, it just takes a few days for the ACH transfer to reach your bank.

maybe im misunderstanding you're statement but ive let ~$1 sit in circle that I "sold"/transferred from blockchain for about 2 days and the balance actually went up to $1.23. so wouldn't that be my actual balance? so when I sent the $1 from blockchain to circle I wasn't necessarily locking in that $1 price on circle to my knowledge...I would think if I initiated a transfer to my bank then I would get that locked in amount aka even if bitcoin went to 0 while I was waiting for it to hit my bank I would still get paid

Every time I go to withdraw it says I have no withdrawal options? Is this common? Is it a time of day thing?

You're misunderstanding, the bitcoin sitting on circle will fluctuate with the price changes, same with bitcoin sitting in blockchain. What he's saying is when you initiate the transfer to your bank, that amount locks in place right then and there. So if you're withdrawing $100 worth of bitcoin from circle to your bank, as soon as you finalize that transaction it costs you .xyz bitcoins and that amount is locked, even though it takes 2-3 days for the cash to hit your bank account (which is standard for ACH transactions).

What do you mean, in the WPN client? If so, no, there's no time of day thing. Contact live support via the client to inquire about that, the only thing I can think of is that your account needs to be verified first. They can tell you for sure. Cashier page -- Need Help? Contact Manager button on the left hand side.

You should always have some withdraw options there if you're able to withdraw (verified account with money in it and no hold placed by the site). Mine looks like this:

for some reason I thought he was trying to say that it was locked in once sent from blockchain to circle.

a little off topic, but are btc transactions reversible at all in regards to sending to another person? i.e. if I was to use the transfer thread on here to sell acr funds and someone sends me BTC for my acr, is there a way that transaction can be reversed a la paypal/amazon/qpay etc? or am I guaranteed that I wont get scammed once the BTC is in my blockchain or circle? (and furthermore would the person have to go the human->blockchain->circle route or could they just send directly to my circle)?

thanks for the advice

Ah yeah, I can see how "sell" could be mistakenly seen as "send". But yeah, gluten nailed it.

No that's a good question, I don't think it's come up yet in this thread.

Bitcoin transactions are NOT reversible. That's one of the main reasons it was created.

Think of bitcoin as cash. Once someone sends it to you and it's confirmed it is fully yours... they can't take it back.

Which is why it's so great for WPN to accept as a deposit. They don't have to worry about the player issuing a chargeback like with a credit card.

They know the funds are valid and it can't bounce, be declined or taken from them. It's as if you had sent them an envelope of cash.

Sooooo I have a quick question. I just requested a withdrawal from ACR and I accidentally gave ACR my Circle address instead of my Coinbase one. It wasn't a lot of money because it was my first attempt (and I clearly did it wrong), but I'm just wondering what the chances are that my Circle account gets closed? I already sent the funds from Circle to Coinbase just in case they decide to close my account, but is it safe to receive funds into my Circle account in the future given that I've interacted w/ a gambling site?

Odds are that you will be ok this time. As long as you use a new address in between ACR and Circle/Coinbase next time you should be good.

And even in the worst case scenario of them closing your account in the future they would still let you withdraw your bitcoin.

Appreciate all the info, thanks!

My experience with cashing out through bitcoins was:

ACR -> Blockchain (process took about 3 hours to clear, requested at 9am ET)
Blockchain -> Circle (process took about 1 hour to clear, requested at 12pm ET)
Circle -> Bank account (now pending and states 3-5 businss days)

I'll post back when the money actually hits my bank account. I made $.02 through the transfers in the amount that is going to my bank. However, I now have $0.11 in my Circle account that was from the value of the BTC in between the time when I requested the Circle -> Bank account transfer and when it actually processed. I can't get the $0.11 out since the minimum withdrawal is $1.00. There is also $.06 left over in my ACR account balance since the initial transaction of ACR -> Blockchain must be done in whole dollar amounts.
Circle -> Bank account posted today for 2 business days total for the entire cashout process. Not bad at all.

To you sir, I say congratulations on your winnings.

Yeah so,one is gonna be buying drugs this weekend because ones hates ones life/ job, instead of losing 80 at 1/2 live one can lose 40 on ACR in the privacy of ones home. Last two weeks one has deposited and won, but the money never feels real, and when I read the wallet companies were sending sketchy emails, made it feel less real.

Lets get real direct confirmation that, if one wins 300,one can get it to ones chase account within 3 days, one time? Thansk

3-5 business days to be safe.

I have done amounts between 200-1K over the past couple months with no problems from the sites or bank.

Alright, thanks dude. I'm going to assume you're with a major US bank like me. Yeah like remember the 5x 20 on my first deposits with BC 2 weeks ago? I ran it up to 135, but didn't feel like id get the money, so I just went to black jack and bet it all on one hand. It was like 10-14 hours of straight playing too, poker I mean. We both know how long and grindy that is.

Ive had a really ****ty week so thanks BCP for providing me a platform to have some fun on.

I like to know who here has requested BTC on Friday and when did you receive your btc? Last time i requested it friday morning and didn't get btc till monday afternoon and i got the btc price that was on monday after btc price went up 20 dollars during the weekend.

Shouldn't i be getting the btc price when i made the request on friday morning? I understand if i request it say friday night or weekend... then its different since they dont process btc on weekends but shouldn't i be credited the current price?
07-16-2015 , 02:58 PM
It's better that they give you the price when they send, both for WPN and for the player, so that neither has to deal with as many fluctuations. I just got back from an exam and I'm having trouble focusing on explaining why, but it comes down to there being less time for fluctuations in price to happen in between transactions being confirmed.

Obviously if you were getting the BtC because you thought the price was gonna shoot up over the weekend, you'd be better off getting the Friday price. But the intention is to use this for fast withdrawals with as little price fluctuation as possible. Plus if you were purchasing Bitcoins in anticipation of that, there are other places will lock in the price after you purchase your BtC even if there is a waiting period (at least Coinbase did) that you could have used. It sounds like you're just being results oriented, and just want an extra small amount of BtC than you paid for (what you got was correct at the market rate of when it was sent.)

Obviously if you got it on Friday you'd be better off, though! FWIW price is down to 275, and who knows where it will end up.

Yeah that's usually been the case for me too.

I just sold a little on Circle on Tuesday evening and it was in my bank account just after midnight on Thursday morning. So about 30 hours total.

But like gluten said you should give 3-5 business days to be safe.

How much max you transfer from your bitcoin wallet to circle and then to your bank? Is there a limit for daily, weekly and monthly? What about coinbase? I know there are buying limits but if you already have the btc in your bitcoin wallet... i assume there isn't a limit to transferring it to circle or coinbase to your bank?

I'm not sure if there is a limit to the amount of bitcoin you can transfer to your Circle or Coinbase account.

There are limits on the amount of bitcoin you can sell to them though.

The limits will vary based on how much verification info you give them and how long you've been a customer. But I think the initial limit on Coinbase is $3000 a day. And I think Circle's is $5000 a week. I honestly forget so someone with a new account might be able to confirm.

It's my 1st time using Circle and it won't accept my withdraw for some reason, any thoughts? My bank was verified with no issue.

Hmm, it didn't give you an error message about it? Is it more than your weekly limit? Are you trying to withdraw the full balance you have on Circle?
