Bitcoin Deposits and Withdraws Bitcoin Deposits and Withdraws

They told me that they don't process withdrawals on weekends.

That being said, I had requested the withdrawal on Friday night, and called them on Saturday. That being said, they did process mine a shortly after I called them despite it being a weekend, even though I kind of just said "Oh OK" when they told me I'd have to wait till after the weekend.

So officially they don't process on weekends, but it's not entirely impossible that you recieve BtC on weekends.

The thing that I was wondering was did they kind of wait till BTC went up before they sent me my withdrawal? I have done btc withdraws with them and i usually get it same day or next day. The btc didn't arrive till monday later afternoon and btc price went up quite a bit.

first time trying bitcoin to practice so that I can make a large cashout on my sportsbook more comfortably. so I followed the steps in this thread and made my accounts at circle and blockchain.

I added $11 to my circle account from my bank. sent the $11 to my blockchain wallet (so now circle balance is $0.00 but looks like it still has .00000491 btc).

immediately got the btc in blockchain, however it says $10.91 received? the transaction history is definitely a little confusing to me. plus there seems to be a .03 cent fee.

went to cashier in ACR client and did $10 deposit which told me how many btc to send. sent the amount and blockchain now says I have 2 transactions, an amount received of $10.91 and amount sent $10.02...$10 shows up in acr balance in like 5 minutes.

so my question is, is it normal for the amounts sent and received to differ from original amounts in such a quick time? are there other fees somewhere in the process? if I make a 4 figure withdrawal do I have to worry about my w/d differing by 100s of dollars than the original amount? I did all of these transactions within 1 minute of eachother as well.

Sup baby,

Yeah that's the trade off with this currency I guess. It's super easy to deposit/withdraw (if you're 80%+ hands somehow hold up in this program), but the exchange rate between USD and BTC is constantly fluctuating. I'm not certain as to the rate, as I just wanted a quick fix and also to test it out, but I think I remember skimming on here that it changes pretty quickly.

I was just thinking that this morning, basically I'm going to atlantic city tomorrow after work, and if I win there, I'll put other people's money on this rigged site. Aside from it being rigged, the colors are the bomb, and the card design, it's too bad getting your money in good makes no difference here.. Otherwise I'm just going to chill, maybe see Terminator or something.

But yeah in the case I win and deposit, I'll do it through BTC, and I was saying to myself damn, because of the exchange rate I have to deposit a weird number unrelated to the amount I actually want to put in. I paid $48 dollars on Tuesday and only got to use $32 because of all the fees and exchange rates

Man I love wasting my life/money/time, it's dope, the bomb, and off the hook.

Something like that can happen because Circle, Blockchain.info, and WPN all have slightly different exchange rate values. There is no "official" bitcoin price, so they all might be a few cents off from eachother.

And the transaction fee to send from your blockchain wallet is only a couple cents, no matter how much you're sending.

So no, as long as you do your transactions within minutes of eachother like you did you don't have to worry about ending up with a significant amount less.

thank you for your response. so lets say I request a $1000 cashout from my online sportsbook via bitcoin to my blockchain address. how much can the $1000 change (if it can at all) while I am waiting for it to arrive in blockchain? And the blockchain fee would still be 3 cents? Also, can I transfer funds to circle immediately or is there a waiting period on blockchain (I know for circle it says there needs to be 4 confirmations before funds available)?

finally, if I let the $1000 (or whatever the final amount is) sit in circle for say 3 days or a week or so, is there a chance the amount can vastly change? or is it static once its in circle.

thanks a lot for helping a bitcoin noob

It would depend on how long they take to process your withdrawal. They lock in the exchange rate when you request the withdrawal so from that point on you're exposed to the fluctuations in the rate until you're able to sell the bitcoin. That's why it's better to wait to request a withdrawal during the business hours when they are processing them.

Once they process the withdrawal and send it to your blockchain wallet you should be able to finish the rest of the process pretty quickly. You should be able to send from there to Circle once it gets one confirmation.

And yeah, the standard bitcoin fee for most normal transactions is 0.0001 btc... which is like 2.6 cents right now. Whether you're sending $100 or a million dollars.

If you have bitcoin sitting in your Circle account then it will fluctuate in USD value with the bitcoin exchange rate.

I don't want to give personal opinions on what bitcoin price will do in the future... so I'll just say that if you want to ensure your $1000 withdrawal is as close to $1000 in your bank as possible you should sell it as soon as it hits your Circle account.

If you do that you should be able to keep the difference to a minimum, maybe +/- a % or so. There is a bit of risk... but unlike other methods of withdrawal you might end up with slightly more in the end.

i wonder if bitcoin price will be going up soon with the troubles in greece. Usually price goes up when government institutions are failing.

Just deposited follwing OP's directions. Worked great, took about 5-10 after sending funds to WPN.

wanted to give an experience from today:

so I had about 92 cents in my circle account and added $85 from my bank. I went to ACR client to deposit $85 and it gave me the address and amount of BTC to send. I sent the whole $85.92 to my blockchain, and when it got to blockchain it became $84.65 (I didn't realize this at first). When I went to send the exact amount ACR wanted for the $85 it told me I didn't have enough (OBV because now I only had 84.65).

So I hit "adjust amount" on blockchain, thinking it would give me a chance to resubmit but instead it automatically sent the $84.65. I knew this would be a problem because it wasn't the exact amount of BTC that acr wanted for the $85. So I called because the live chat was down and the guy basically told me i'd have to somehow contact blockchain and cancel the transaction??? Could not find anything on blockchain about canceling a transaction and google searches resulted in a few hits that were really confusing (something about double spending in order to cancel)....

luckily I refreshed acr cashier like 20 minutes later and walla, I had 85.55 somehow in my account.

a little frustrating/nerve wracking, definitely not for the average joe that does not understand how bitcoin works, I myself still have a lot to learn about it

i usually open acr to see if btc deposits are working that day then deposit on circle/blockchain then request amount on acr to deposit and then send it over right away.

Yeah, there's gonna be a slight difference in the exchange rate that Circle, Blockchain.info and WPN use to determine what a certain amount is worth in dollars.

In order to minimize trouble you can send from Circle to Blockchain first. Wait to request a deposit address from WPN until it's in your Blockchain wallet ready to send. Then adjust the amount you want to deposit in $ as needed.

I do think they should make it easier. They could at least give the option of entering a specific bitcoin amount on the deposit screen and have it display what that will be in dollars. That way you can just send your full btc balance.

I'm guessing the support person you talked to didn't know how bitcoin works. You wouldn't have been able to cancel the transaction. If they had decided not to honor the deposit they would have had to send it back to you.

Glad that it all worked out in the end though.

If you use bitcoin to deposit, can you use other methods to withdraw?

Are you transferring straight to WPN from your circle account?
07-08-2015 , 02:02 AM
I guess that would explain it. Honestly I don't see how thered be a problem doing it the block chain way. Going straight from WPN account to circle/coinbase probably look sketchy in the internet trail.

I mean, how do we really know none of the "circle team" peruses this sid eof the board for info?

Ya like WU/MG, plus they allow you to send the money to any reciever which means you can use a friend or someone close if you wanted

The good part about Bitcoin is that even if they did know about this thread and what was happening, it should be very difficult to nearly impossible for them to actually detect when it's happening. That is as long as WPN is using new withdrawal addresses for every withdrawal.

It would be like if a check processor could write checks from a new bank account for every single withdrawal. Even if the bank found out that one was poker related, it wouldn't be used again and wouldn't help detect any of the others.

I haven't received that email myself but have seen others post that they have. Even outside of poker.

They're just required to ask to comply with AML stuff. Especially if you were a new customer doing large transactions, or many small ones.

They just need to be able to show that they asked, and that to the best of their knowledge you aren't laundering money or doing anything else illegal.

But unfortunately poker is against their rules, so while it's not illegal if you say that they will close your account.

So, can someone assure me on this? i just created blockchain and circle acct. (sorry in advance, i didnt read much of this thread, only OP). I am yet to do a transaction but have verified both accts. Most ppl, if they "hold" onto money, will do so in circle acct, eh? is it correct to think that while holding money with blockchain, my balance can rise/fall as bitcoin does so?

also, i see you can link a cc to circle. Can i deposit funds with CC's to circle, then? if so, if you know more, does that record as a standard purchase on a cc statement?

gonna google some info. now. buying bitcoin with cc's

Yo santa cruz I won that off 20 dollars starting at NL50, after 2 hours finishing at 1/2 thnx

To be fair tho I lost 120 in 20 deposits, actually 17 but yeah I broke even diarrhea
