Bitcoin Deposits and Withdraws Bitcoin Deposits and Withdraws

I have a pending receive transaction, Blockchain -> Coinbase, that's at 30 hours and counting.

Is it because of all the volume (a Bitcoin thing) or something else (a Coinbase thing)? Getting locked into a position for 30+ hours is crazy. It wouldn't be fun if the market was going the other way...

I think its a volume thing. I made a Bitcoin deposit to a poker site from Blockchain and it's been almost 48 hours without being confirmed. Checked around and it appears to be happening to a lot of people.

The world changing payment system takes days to clear transactions during extreme volatility when it's at <<< 1% global adoption? Interesting.

I have 80 dollars in bitcoin on blockchain, when I attempted to send it, it wanted a ten dollar fee lol... so I waited 20 mins... now it wants a 15 dollar fee? are there certain times where this fee goes down? what is the best way to avoid this fee? I don't even know what a custom price is because it wants something "sat/b"... ugh frustrated as I am sick of losing ten dollars every time I want to send it... I don't understand this at all

This whole Bitcoin thing confuses me but from what I read the sat/b should be over 120 or else the miners won't take it ...or something like that. My sat/b is 91 but who knows. I try reading about bitcoin and after 2 mins my head hurts.

Did you make a GDAX account?

The other alternative is to exchange BTC to ETH or LTC if your BTC position feels too volatile. There's enough stability now that a BTC dive won't crash the entire market. In fact it pushes the others up.

Why is it when im going to transfer bitcoin from coinbase to another wallet they are trying to charge me a 16$ network fee for a 50$ transfer? Never seen the fee so high before. Any and all help appreciated!

You're discovering the inherent flaws. That's literally the price for the network to confirm.

GDAX is the actual exchange connected to CB. Login in to CB and open GDAX and it will mostly auto-register you.

p.s. If there are any hiccups refresh the page. I set my friend up last week and we had to refresh the page when it asked to submit the documents again, because everything is already on file.

I see. Thanks for the response. Is it being this high temporary? Really don't wanna play that badly enough to pay this high of a fee for such a small transfer

GDAX applies for you too. Transfer from CB to GDAX then transfer from GDAX to wherever, both free.

Last week during a slow time they were about 3.50 (lol srsly, 3.67 if I recall) which is still stupid high imo.

So, you have BTC on CB you want to put on WPN right?
12-08-2017 , 06:14 PM
Yes. I just looked into GDAX and am probably going to do what you said. Let you know if it works. Thanks for the help
12-08-2017 , 06:23 PM
It worked. I was able to send 50$ to GDAX free. I sent the bitcoin from there to my wallet "electrum". Sending from electrum to ACR was like 10$ fee. This is ridiculous lol. Any other wallet you could recommend me using to go to ACR next time?
12-08-2017 , 06:26 PM
Oh crap, what I meant was to send directly from GDAX.

@6ix

Thanks for taking the time to share all this. It'll help. I'm going to look into it all.

The volatility has exposed a lot of flaws I didn't realize existed.

I just realized that people have problems sending from CB to poker sites but I'm 98% sure GDAX doesn't do that, even though they're connected. So saving on fees might not be the only hurdle. Regardless, I'll do a tutorial.

BTW, do you have any suggestions for withdrawing from ACR?

Here

Heh. Well, that's why I popped into this thread. I'd recommend Litecoin or Ethereum (or a bank check) considering they added altcoin options.

But uhhhh here's the thing: Last night was the first time I experimented with a LTC withdrawal. Around 7pm ET. They're almost instantaneous, so any delay would be on WPN's end, not the network.

I was going to do 1 LTC but at the time there was a slight dip to 1 LTC = $96.4 and min withdrawal is $100 so I went with that.

Today I see that not only did it not arrive, it was cancelled. Email didn't give a reason and support just said 'LTC is down'.

Here's the overnight price change:

Lol.

Looking online again now it seems people are saying the same thing: CB sometimes flagged, GDAX never a problem.

If I use coinbase and they are charging 17.00 to move 47.00over to a poker site . What are my options without paying a 17.00 charge.could I move he money to a different wallet and then send or are all exchanges acting crazy like this.
