Bitcoin is the nuts for poker transactions. Instructions for Bitcoin transactions.

What you need:

1. An account at blockchain.com

Creating your account at blockchain is quick and easy. They will provide you with a specific link for your login.

2. An account at at bitcoin wallet like circle.com or coinbase that will link to your bank account.

I'll use circle.com as an example. Circle has no fees for transactions; Coinbase has some fees. Creating an account at Circle is also easy, but linking your account to your bank will take a few days. You'll need to provide pictures of your face and ID (very easy to do via their phone app). You'll also need to verify a couple small deposits they will make to your bank account.

Once you've completed these two steps, you're ready to use bitcoin for transactions at WPN.

You create two bitcoin accounts because it's best to use blockchain for transactions with WPN. Then use circle for transactions with blockchain. So, it looks like this:

Deposit: Bank Account -> Circle -> Blockchain -> Poker
  1. Load your Circle account from your bank account. To do this, click on the "Add Funds" from the Account page at circle.com.
  2. Then send those funds to Blockchain.
  3. Then go to the poker client cashier and click deposit. One the left of the deposit screen, click on "Popular e-Wallet". Then choose Bitcoin. Enter the amount and continue.
  4. Then a screen will come up with the BTC amount you must send to a specific Bitcoin address. You have 15 minutes to get that done.

Withdraw: Poker -> Blockchain -> Circle -> Bank Account

You may also wish to explore a Bitcoin ATM card.

Will you accept bitcoin deposits regardless of the player's geographic location?

Yes sir!

So... on the one hand, I like this, because I like HM2 and it works better with the ACR skin than the BetCoin skin... and also it presumably means access to the cash games in WPN.

But it also raises questions:
1) What conversion rate will you use when depositing/withdrawing? How will we see the conversion rate?
2) What will the time frame be on bitcoin withdrawals? I'm used to a few hours on BetCoin
3) What does your bitcoin partner BetCoin think about you competing with them for BTC players?

1) There will be a conversion rate in the withdrawal page.
2) It could be anything up to a few hours it could be a few minutes
3) There is no issue here

I helped out testing this yesterday, so I figure I'll go ahead and post the screenshots that they asked me to take:

For now, Bitcoin is located under Popular e-Wallet. I was told that it will be moved out from there in the future:

So you click Popular e-Wallet and you see Bitcoin:

This screen comes up where you type how much you want to deposit. When I took this screenshot, the min. was $25. My min currently says $5, but it's possible they just haven't changed that back on my account. I did explain to them why I think a smaller min-deposit is better (imo) since there are people that like to play freerolls on other bitcoin sites but can't get action outside of freerolls. This gives the players an outlet for those freeroll cashes.

As you can see, it tells you exactly how much Bitcoin to send:

Once you hit deposit, you get this final screen telling you the address to send your coins:

This is a static screen though.. so don't keep watching it thinking it will say complete/approved (like I did ). You should get an email once the deposit has been credited to your account. My deposit took somewhere around 15 minutes.

So they're asking you to tell you how much is being sent before you sent, not simply telling you the send-to address.

I wonder if they're processing manually and matching up pending w/ received...

and - 7 minutes to submit? Block chain verifications can take 20+ minutes. What happens if you submit the deposit, initiate the transaction and it's half an hour before the validation?

7 minutes to initiate I think is what they meant... not verify. So you have 7 minutes to copy the address, go to your wallet, and tell your wallet where to send the money. You just don't get the money credited until it's verified (which is why it can take 20 minutes).

Beyond that, I don't know what they're doing.

Too bad that they don't show a QR code.

When I buy BTC I send it to a wallet on my phone. From there I use my phone to scan the QR code of the deposit address. When a site doesn't show a QR code, I have to copy the code, message it to myself on Facebook, go to FB messenger on my phone, select and copy the code there, go to the wallet and paste it.

That CAN take several minutes, making 7 mins rather unpleasantly tight. DOABLE, but tight.

Does this mean you're no longer accepting CC deposits and are taking ONLY bitcoin from here forward?

Does this apply to all WPN skins or just ACR?

This place is reg. infested already. Good luck getting fish to go through the bitcoin process...

It means they're not taking litecoin dogecoin or any other cryptocurrencies.

Thanks for the clarification Greebo.

Been waiting on this news any idea what the min. withdrawal amount will be? ($25 as well?)
01-09-2015 , 08:50 PM
I don't have the popular ewallet option. Anybody else?
01-10-2015 , 01:25 AM
Just tested it out... not totally smooth but not too bad.

They gave a fair conversion rate, and you're able to check before you do anything.

It took 3 confirmations until the money showed up in my account. That seems pretty reasonable.

Yeah, that's one thing they should change. They should add a QR code with the address and amount to send already filled in so that you can send from a phone.

Also, not a huge deal but the page should say "Bitcoin" and not "Bit Coin".

Getting bitcoin can seem complicated at first because most people have no idea what it is.

But, setting up a Circle or Coinbase account and using it to deposit/withdraw is the same process and just as easy as using any other e-wallet like Neteller for poker.

I don't think it will be long until using bitcoin will be the standard for moving poker money.

What kind of security will there be on bitcoin withdrawals?

It would be nice to have a two-factor authentication option to log in and also to transact.

All of my bitcoin accounts have Google Authenticator
