I use gemini (started by Winklevoss twins - based in NYC) with transfers to a wallet between them and acr. Coinbase closed my acct (didn't give reason) and I never transferred directly from them to acr.

How secure would our balances be if BTC completely crashed?

So when I tried to withdraw $1400 from my account in bitcoin, bitcoin was in the price range of under 4100-4250 max per bitcoin (was fluctuating a lot between those 2 price points not exactly sure what it was at but it was definitely between that range), after I received my bitcoin I got it at the rate of 4373 which is higher than the rate when I asked for it. At the same time it is worth less than the $1400 I withdrew the value being 1379.91 which is $20.09 less than I withdrew for. So not only did I not get the full 1400, I also got a worse rate than when I asked for the withdrawal so I got screwed on bitcoin price going up for a decent profit (which would've actually netted me at least $40 more if at the max of 4250).

tl;dr - We should either be getting 1400 at the time that we receive it or the rate at which it is at when we requested but it seems like we are getting neither?

cash out requested monday 9/4 received 9/5 about 24 hours later

All my transaction have been BTC value at the time of the transaction - not when requested. You can't expect them to pay you more or less than the BTC price at the time that they send it.

I'm not sure you are understanding, I didn't get $1400 worth of btc (which is what I cashed out for). I got $1379.91 worth.

I'm not sure you understand how btc exchanges work. The price can vary between exchanges. I have received ACR cashouts in BTC that have been more and less than the current exchange rate of the main exchange that I use. I'm not sure which exchange they use, but I don't think they are intentionally shorting you. (I may be wrong).

See prices below across several exchanges - price varies by almost $70

Well I was comparing it to my blockchain wallet which quoted the value. Anyway just wanted to post my experience so others can know whether or not bitcoin is worth it for them. (I also don't see why we shouldn't get the rate of which the transaction is requested. Kind of like I want to buy at this price...wait a day then I get it at another I totally would've not taken it at the price I received it at)

newbie ?
when I withdraw from acr to blockchain, whats the best way to ensure that the value of my cashout doesn't change due to btc price fluctuations?

do I have to keep checking my blockchain account and as soon as I see it has been deposited to blockchain move it to coinbase?

then do I have to keep checking coinbase and as soon as its deposited to coinbase, transfer to my bank?

is there a better way to do this or am I missing something?

I just took a look back at the last couple Requests, and it looks like it only took a matter of hours. How long does this normally take?

It will be at most 0.25% on GDAX and can be as low as 0% if you exchange via limit buying/selling. Tranferring between Coinbase and GDAX is free and instant. As always, read up first and start with small amounts to test things out.

My bitcoin withdrawal was cancelled and returned for the following reason:

"In order to proceed with your payment, for security and verification purposes, we require you to cash out through the same method you have used to deposit: BITCOIN"

Um, wat? That's exactly what I was doing...

Does it have to be the same address or something?

Ok, so um, just got this message from coinbase when trying to send to blockchain (so I can make a deposit)

"Invalid JWT Token"

And it gives me the option to dismiss it..... But the message is in red like it is an error. I'm scared to click send. What does this mean??

Anyone? Thanks.

I think you may needed to have made a previous deposit with BTC in order to make a BTC withdraw (not sure) Contact CR support for clarification

But go to cashier click withdraw > BTC on left panel.... then you should get your options for withdraw... I can't see them at this moment because ACR ONLY process BTC between mon-fri > up to 7pm ET
