The good part about Bitcoin is that even if they did know about this thread and what was happening, it should be very difficult to nearly impossible for them to actually detect when it's happening. That is as long as WPN is using new withdrawal addresses for every withdrawal.
It would be like if a check processor could write checks from a new bank account for every single withdrawal. Even if the bank found out that one was poker related, it wouldn't be used again and wouldn't help detect any of the others.
I haven't received that email myself but have seen others post that they have. Even outside of poker.
They're just required to ask to comply with AML stuff. Especially if you were a new customer doing large transactions, or many small ones.
They just need to be able to show that they asked, and that to the best of their knowledge you aren't laundering money or doing anything else illegal.
But unfortunately poker is against their rules, so while it's not illegal if you say that they will close your account.
