BCP raised my deposit limit then does same on ACR after chat. BCP raised my deposit limit then does same on ACR after chat.

I noticed that BCP raised my deposit minimum from $24 to $49. When I asked why they told me its do to my "reputation".
So I started playing on ACR with the normal $24 minimum.
Well last night I logged into chat with BCP and asked them if they would lower my deposit back to where it was. The guy told me no again due to my reputation. I mentioned i play on ACR due to this and then all of a sudden this morning my limit on ACR has been raised.
WTF?
I am a low stakes reg on there. I play constantly and cash out and deposit if needed. I never drain my account. I always try to keep money on after a cashout because I enjoy playing on the site.

I just don't understand why this empty ass network would do this to a player that plays literally everyday on this site.

My only thought is that I am being punished for cashing out or is this normal?
And what is this "reputation" ****? Its not like I make a living on there.

Oh, yeah, we've all heard about you [kidding]

One of the reasons they might do this is if you have many small deposits. They would rather you made fewer, bigger ones. That draws less suspicion from banks, and may reduce the site's processing costs.

This type of issue has come up before. Commonsense should tell you that the site is losing money every time you deposit just $24, due to processing fees. I'm sure that the site is willing to take that loss sometimes for the sake of player liquidity. But a site can certainly use their own discretion in raising the min deposit to prevent taking a perpetual loss from some players. If you can afford to deposit $24 to play poker, you can probably afford to deposit $49.

Well that makes since. I wish they would just let us know in advance the reasoning. I can at least understand that.

I did find it kinda funny that the BCP rep had my limit changed the very next morning on ACR. Probably only 6 hrs between convo and increase.

Thanks for the feedback.

If I'm not mistaken most sites (including ACR) charge a fee for cc/dc/gc deposits after your initial deposit. It seems that the reason they do that is to cover their processing fees. They could solve this issue by just stating in their deposit polices that their initial deposit minimum is 20.00, all deposits after that the minimum is 50.00 (or whatever number they choose).

Some players may choose to deposit small amounts (especially if they play micro stakes) as a form of BRM. IMO it's pretty obvious why a poker site would prefer a player to deposit more at once, and that is there is a better chance that money will be put into play (and raked). Not saying that's a bad policy as they are in business to make money after all...just be up front about it.

Yeah I've noticed that...seems like it's easier to avoid fees as well. Just have to dodge variance with bitcoin.

This is most likely due to processor fees + processing costs.

I suggest looking into Bitcoin / P2P xfer thread.

If they do charge fees for redeposits, I can't imagine how they could possibly charge a large enough fee on a $24 redeposit to cover their processing costs.

They say that at first, they will let you deposit smaller amounts as a type of promotion to get you playing and so you can try the site; but once you have deposited X amount of dollars, they raise it and then keep it at $50, which they state is their min. deposit amount (using visa).

They prob want less than more transactions showing up across banks all over the world since uh, yeah, Amerrica.
