Yep, middle of tourney and down it went. Also, was registered for On Demand SNG and wonder if I'll get refunded for that.

if the shutdown was for more than 15 mins all games are going to be suspended for good and the prize pool will either be chopped up according to chip count after initial buy-in amounts are refunded or if the tournament had not gotten through late registration refunds we only be given out

so many servers crashes... this is too much.
What's Black Chip Poker policy on funds that get stuck at cash tables in the hands at the middle of server crash?

As i noteded in another thread

Quote:
Hello,

The outage we experienced today around 11am -6 was the result of a main carrier / ISP in Casta Rica, Racsa, having a "routing outage" that caused about a 40 second drop in service through out Costa Rica, this affected both our Primary ISP and or backup ISP, most of the country basically lost service due to this.

I assure you we have been working tirelessly since October to put into place extensive additional fail over for or network increasing it from where it was to prevent outages like this, but this was one case where all the redundancy in our network would not of helped unfortunately.
This issue are as frustrating to us as they are the players.

If you loose connection from the client there are many many factors that can cause this, i know many people try to connect to another poker site to test, but that is comparing apples to oranges as other poker sites are located in other locations around the world with different routing and connections.

I personally am working on some things to try and assist players better with trying to troubleshoot and locate problem area's when playing on our site and experiencing problems. We have also, as of this morning, added some additional infrastructure to help with this as well and i will be looking at the forums very closely over the coming weeks to help people with issues they are having.

I hope to have a thread posted and possibly stickied once i get things and processes sorted out.

In the mean time, please contact our customer service team if you have any connection issues, or problems with the poker client, we can not fix things if we do not know about them or do not have details about issues.

Things to include in the email:
  • Computer specifications – CPU/ Memory/ Disk Space / Video Card / Computer Model , People can use this to get all info, save the results and include it in the email http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...iagnostic-tool
  • Internet Provider / Speeds / IP Address ( goto www.whatismyip.com )
  • Wired / Wireless connection
  • How often the issue occurs, night, day, always, sometimes.
  • How many tables where they at
  • Tournaments / Ring games, both….
  • Which Poker Client
  • Any software running, poker tracker, AV , downloads et cetera
