BBJ vs the BEAST BBJ vs the BEAST

08-11-2013 , 11:18 AM
Since I can no longer edit my previous post, I have to start a new one here. Previous post about the truth of the beast is:

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/21...-rake-1361067/

A brief summary is that only 20 people out of thousands actually beat the beast in july. One may argue, it is still better than the BBJ, in which only several people sitting on the bad beat table can actually benefit every several months.

First of all, I am not a fan of BBJ either. If you are so interested in hitting a jackpot, why don't you play lotto tickets instead. Poker is really not the game for you.

Secondly, even though the chance is negligible (smaller than winning a bracelet in the WSOP main event), every one has a chance to win BBJ. But for the beast, unless you play 6 hr a day 7 days a week, you are NEVER going to win.

So, why do you want to WASTE your money in a jackpot that you have ZERO chance?

First, not really sure where you get off telling people what tables to play.Second, the beast is profitable if someone wants to put the hours in. Third I really don't think I care what you have to say.

Firstly, that's ****** English.

Secondly, if you are among the 10 people who play 300k+ hands per month and be profitable in the beast, congratulations. This post is not for you.

Thirdly, if you don't care you don't need to reply.

I like WPN network except for the beast.

I just withdrew all my money because of the beast, I only play non-beast tables and got tired of the lack of tables.

If enough people do this, I think they would at least consider not having the beast.

I dont mind the bad beat jackpot as it may increase action and gamble.

The beast on the other hand makes no sense. I never play any table with the beast. It makes the games less action and less gamble. Basically makes the players pay for a rake race. The beast is the reason I dont play much on winning poker with the exception of a few of the bigger GTD tourneys

First, you don't need to play the beast tables so no need to cry.

Second, do you not think someone who puts in the hours deserves to be rewarded.

Third, if you don't like it gtfo.

lol, someone is pissed off

I agree that someone who puts in hours deserves to be rewarded. And that's exactly why I hate the beast, because it's only rewarding the top 20 and exploiting the rest.

Ok hold up because I'm trying to figure all this out. I opened up a 25nl table to check out the rake and I saw the blinds see a call/check flop and the pot was .23????? So immediately they took .27 from a .50 pot?

Then I saw a pot where utg raised to .75 and the bb called. The flop pot was 1.27. So they took .33.

Someone tell me I'm seeing things. How in the hell does anyone make any money here and why don't you guys play on the regular tables?

You are definitely correct. That's why I stopped playing on this site this month.

Its exploiting anyone. Anyone who plays on the network has the choice to play beast, bbj, or regular tables. If someone wants to play on a beast table and not try to cash then that is their choice, no one is forcing them to play and pay into beast.

This is wrong if you are implying you can play at WPN without playing beast tables.

I sat for four hours tonight and got no action at my stakes.

I even opened FR tables in an effort to get action even though Im a 6max player.

Not at my expense through a partnership with the site in a sleazy rake grab. I have an idea, if you want to take my money, how about you take it off me during the game with your poker skills?

What an ignorant infantile argument.

I mean, how dare someone discuss the pros and cons of WPN in a sub forum specifically designed to do just that.

I got an idea, why dont you gtfo, you are the minority here amongst us players.

I have an idea why don't you look at the issue for another pov. Just because you don't find the beast tables profitable doesn't mean someone else won't be able to find them profitable. No one is forcing you to play them so let the people who do want to play them be able to. If you can't find enough action at you stakes try a different site. If Winning finds it is not worth having the beast anymore then they will remove it. Crying here does you no good, but by not playing the network will get your message loud and clear.
