Bank Account associated with ACR closed???! Bank Account associated with ACR closed???!

Ok so I cashed out around 1k a while back paid the $65 fee and received the bank draft 5 days later. Deposited the bank draft into my bank account and it eventually cleared. About a week later ( today ) I find a debit for the same amount which at first I did not recognize. A call to the bank and they informed me that the debit was due to the bank account associated with the bank draft which I had deposited 2 weeks prior being closed!!

I called ACR customer support and they told me to send them screen shots of the deposit and withdrawal which I have done. Hopefully I get credited back the amount into my ACR account and this time around I will not be requesting a bank draft rather will try Western Union or BC. Then again it's not that much so probably WU is the best way to go.

What bank do you use?

I've had similar problems with Bank of America in the past.

stick to using BT for withdraw...very fast and easy.

This had nothing to do my bank. The bank account linked to the 'bank draft' aka check that I received my winnings from had closed their account.

Now you gotta ask yourself what's up with that? Maybe it's an isolated incident or something more. All I know is I'm hoping they refund my winnings in to my account so I can withdraw using another method: bitcoin, etc..

You will get the money refunded to your account.

Unfortunately this happens from time to time with sites where US players are allowed. Happens with Bovada/Ignition as well.

Happened to me as well. Same time frame. Cash is now back in my account after verification. I'm reluctant to cashout via the same method. Was this a one-time thing or something timing related? Suggestions?

It happens at random times

Suggestion - Look into bitcoin.. i am the dumbest person ever with those type of things and now i use it so it really is simple

This happened to me as well. I sent a PM to you Winning_TD

Same thing happened to me. I submitted, to ACR, copies of the info the bank sent me ten days ago. Customer support is awaiting word from the 3rd party involved in sending out checks. I am worried. I am using bitcoin from now on.

Winning_TD made a thread saying he is on vacation until 20th, you might have to wait a bit longer than normal for a response.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering why he didn't get back to me.

Another unusual thing happened. I requested another $1000 withdrawal, and several days later I noticed that my account had an extra $1000 in it. I checked my request history and it was credited back to me saying "incorrect amount". I have no idea what this means but the incorrect amount was around $3300 which is not what I requested.

Luckily I don't play for my lively hood or I would be really worried about what's going on, but the extra money helps a lot. I created a bitcoin account and will be doing it that way from now on. Obviously should have a long time ago but what can you do..

Update:

My bank got back to me and stated the check was denied due to insufficient funds. A legal copy of the check has been sent back to me. Not sure if I'm supposed to try to deposit it again because Winning_TD said it happens "randomly". Unfortunately he's away.

Don't deposit again. Do as post #10 did.

Re: the bad check they sent: If customer service was more communicative I'd be less worried. But they respond with emails like "We apologize for the delay, we have not received any response yet. Once we receive and andwer we will contact you back." [sic]

So they are expecting the 3rd party who wrote a bad check to respond in a prompt, good faith way? Sorry if I am not reassured. It is nearly 2 weeks now since I filed the claim. This morning they do not answer the phone quickly and I can't reach anyone at chat.

At the very least you'll get the funds credited back to your ACR account...so no worries on losing the money. No matter which way it goes though, I'd definitely recommend setting up bitcoin for the next time.

This is great if true. I just wish ACR would have said that. I wouldn't be so worried and I would have shut up.

I have had nothing but good things to say about ACR over the last couple of years playing on their site. My most recent withdraw request went through fine and I deposited the check with seemingly no issues like I have done 20+ times in the past. I get a phone call from my bank 3 weeks after I deposit the check and the check is not good. It says that account from which the check was issued from is closed. I've called and emailed support on Saturday and it's now Wednesday and still no resolution to this. Is anyone else dealing with this issue or has had a problem like this in the past?

Yes, me and several other people in the posts immediately above. I emailed and they received my documentation 2 weeks ago tomorrow. ACR is not communicating very well on this and it is very worrisome. They just keep saying they are awaiting a response from the 3rd party, who passed the bad check. ACR needs to just credit the money and deal with the 3rd party on their own - it's their burden. This caused me to recently start bitcoin.

I've sent a message to support and have a ticket number. Hopefully I can get the funds to my ACR account at least. Won't be doing bank draft again.

Once again it's just so ridiculous that we have to go through these back room shady dealings when it should be open and "legal" to play and withdraw real money. Who knows what's going to happen when eventually someone cracks into their database of our SSN's, addresses and drivers license pictures...

Update on this......Was told on Saturday 7/8 to wait 72 hrs while the "escalated" this situation. After waiting 96 hrs I called customer service to get an update and I was still told that they are waiting for the 3rd party payment processor to verify that the funds were not paid. I then went on to ask why wasn't a picture of the check with a GIANT VOID on it not enough validation. I was then told everything was fine with the money, wait 48 more hours and "not to worry!?!?" I've called 3 separate times to speak to a manager and I get the same bull**** reply every time of they are in a meeting.....I'm no general on this site but I am major rank. I'm very disappointed in how this situation is being handled and to be honest it feels like Lock Poker all over again. I will keep updating as the situation continues.

I can understand your frustration, but no need to invoke Lock Poker in the issue. Not with 20+ checks in the past without issue. Not with bitcoin cash outs like nobody's business. Checks bounce occasionally. There's a process in place that sometimes tests one's patience, but it works, per posters who have been where you are.

These sites should be catering to the player on hands and knees (within reason). When the day comes for poker to be fully legal and regulated across the US, say bye bye to all these sites and the non sense that a player has to worry about getting paid with a bounced check and dealing with Russian bot etc etc

I know that one's patience is required in matters like this, but it completely unacceptable how the situation is handled. If their 3rd party processors make a mistake.....it happens, but when you have sent them photos of the check with a giant void and letters from the bank about it, the situation should be expedited to accommodate the player. What has me worried is that is been a week now since this began and I was given 72 hrs at first, then on Thursday to wait another 48. Its been another 48 and still nothing. Don't give time frames to your customers when clearly you have no idea when the situation will be fixed.

I've had the same problem sent them all the information on Tuesday and still haven't gotten my funds back. My bank accounts all screwed up thanks to ACR. I keep on hearing lame ass excuses. They make a ton of money, just send me the damn money back to my account so I can send it bitcoin style then when ur dumbass processor works take the money back.
