I wonder whether the problems I am having on my 2012 Macbook Air but that are not happening on a 2015 Mac Mini have to do with the processor.
When I opened up Activity Monitor on my Air I saw that ACR uses 28% to 60% of the CPU before I have even opened a single table. This is crazy - my normal CPU load from having multiple apps open is about 10%.
The 2012 Macbook Air uses a single core processor. However, my Mac Mini is dual core. I think this is the difference - since ACR needs to use so much processing power (even when it is only displaying the table list) it overwhelms single core Macs.
No idea whether this is a bug in the code, a bug in Adobe Air, or something else entirely. However, it is the only real difference between the two computers I run ACR on.
