All in or Fold All in or Fold

I love this structure, and this thread is just a heads up top WTD that they aren't regenerating in the client...

One other thought, am I the only one who'd be interested in an "All in or Fold" satellite that paid out more than 1 ticket? So something like 3.66+.01 with 18 players can pay 3 tickets to the 20+2 4K GTD or 3.05+.01 with 18 could pay two to the 12.5k GTD.

Looks like they're back, but still looking to see if I'm the only one who'd enjoy All in or Fold that reward more than one seat. I might be the only one who thinks that's a cool idea haha.

I'm with you with rewarding more than 1 ticket in the All In or Folds

2 seaters are on the way!

Cool! Personally would love a 3 seater if these get popular enough, but I realize that at some point it's not going to get enough people registering at too high of a price.

(Wow that was quick! Thanks! Looks like I'll be fixing my PC today so I can hopefully grind a bit on WPN this week instead of just playing the occasional AIOF or small tournament on my laptop!)

Does the WPN run All in or Fold sit n goes?

Not sit and goes just sats for a couple of tournaments. They are not over popular as yet but i think that is down to inconsistency.

These are the worst format ever, blinds are 10-10 and you get 10 chips, no strat at all. What a waste of 3$

I personally love the format, so long as rake remains incredibly low, I think it's fun. Right now rake is effectively 26 cents for every 55 dollars in the prize pool, or right under half a percent.

I'd agree with you if they raked it even 1 or 2%, but the whole point of this is as a fun alternative to a flip satellite, and I really enjoy playing them (because they're kinda fun.)

Yeah you have pretty much stated how much you love them in every post in this thread, since you made the thread. My point is there is no strat to it. If we had 100 chips to start or something, then we have something to work with, but basically you get 1 hand.

That's why I wanted more than one seat, to add a little strategy into it (ICM stuff)... but what you're talking about is literally in the name (all in or fold.) (BTW the blinds are something like 1K-2K, whatever it is is just higher than the total amount in the game. I guess what you're looking for is a hyper turbo.) Plus, if there is less strategy recreational players will be more likely to get into the tournaments, so with low rake I feel it's good for the poker economy, since more satellite money ends up in the actual tournament.

It's fine if you don't like them though, I can see why you feel that way - and I'm sure others do because they don't exactly run very often (maybe a few a day from what I notice.) I just feel like even though there's barely any strategy to them it's fine because the rake is almost zero. I wouldn't play if there was any significant rake, because then they wouldn't be worth the price to play. Just my opinion.

I wouldnt have any rake on these at all if i could use a whole number to reach the buy in. They are obviously not there to make us money. Its a cheap, quick way for players to turn a small amount of money into a significant amount. There is a slight skill edge to them but i will leave that down to you guys. I am confident they will start to run more and more often.

Which is basically exactly how these games run on almost all online poker sites that offer this format.
