That's the rake. From the rake, WPN gives away 25% to players through sit and crush.

Structure looks like this:

Seems like a reasonable structure, but I'd suggest delete the first two levels, have antes from the start, and make the antes bigger. They should be 15% if not 20% to spur on the hyper action. Less than 10% antes in a hyper SNG is a joke.

Thanks for the info. There's definitely some positive aspects about having it identical to an existing (turbo) SNG structure.

Excuse the stupid question here but does WPN collect a portion of the buyin like it does for the jackpots? I assume since there is rake taken that is not the case but just wanted to make sure.

oops I actually like 5 minute levels. For whatever reason I was having a brain fart and thinking that 5 minutes was hyper turbo blind structure. but yea +1 to antes early

Not exactly sure what you mean. Rake is taken in jackpots too. The way this works should be exactly the same as jackpots except for some of the aesthetics/multipliers

Structure looks great to me, but I'm disappointed that there won't be any buy-ins below $5.50. I'd love to see a $3.30 option available.

What I mean is my understanding for jackpots is that a % of each entry goes towards WPN and the rest goes towards the jackpot pool. So in the case of a $2 jackpot with a 2x multiplier $4 goes to the prize pool while $2 minus WPN fee goes to the jackpot.

So what my question should be asking is does WPN take a fee from the jackpot money in addition to the rake being charged. If I am wrong on how the jackpots work please correct me so I understand better.

The non-rake portion of the buyin gets paid out to players. However, it may not be the players who paid the buyin. But that also doesn't mean WPN gets the money.

If the prizepools work the same way as the jackpot SNGs, then for a $5+0.50 game, $45 would go to the overall prizepool, $4.50 to WPN as rake. There would then be a multiplier to set the prizepool for the specific game. In the long run, that full $45 gets returned to players and not a penny less or more. In the short run, WPN may get lucky or unlucky with the number of high multipliers hit and have a higher or lower effective rake percentage due to that, but don't confuse that with WPN taking additional rake, since each jackpot spin is independent (i.e. people think that it's set such that if there's a 1/1000 chance of a certain multiplier, it'll for sure happen 1 in every 1000 games -- rather on any given spin, there's a 1/1000 chance of hitting that multiplier but it's theoretically possible given 1000 games that 10 are the big multiplier or, more likely, 0 are).

However, I believe the SNG 2.0 might actually have a progressive jackpot meaning the prizepool money really is going into an overall progressive prizepool, making some of what I just said not true about how it works, although it still would be true that the prizepool gets returned to players. Although I have a feeling it may say in the T&Cs that WPN can discontinue the promotion at any time, thus taking the progressive jackpot to the bank at whatever time it's discontinued.

I think it will be presented more as a standard rake, with *all* of the buyin portion chopped up into multipliers/frequencies and the progressive jackpot (and the rake portion going to the house). For example, a 7x prizepool will be 7 x the buyin without rake. It's all just accounting though. The important bit is how much the effective rake is (10% in this case).

was grunching -- this was covered by zoog's answer

The jackpot is part of SNG 20. We're giving away $100,000 in it to start it off.

Discontinue and take it to the bank...You can look at our history to see how we handle money with players. When we discontinued the bad beat jackpot, we let it get hit until it got down to about $12,000. Then we gave the rest to players in a couple freeroll tournaments and added money to the Beast.

So does this mean there are no fees or charges other than rake? For example at my local casino they take an "administration fee" from the bad beat jackpot meaning essentially they are taxing a tax. Will there be anything thing like that taken from the prize pool or is it safe to say 100% of the prize pool goes back to the players.

Why a 100-200 level followed by a 100-200-25 ante level?

125-250-25 ante please. Looks interesting though.

It's copied from the current turbo SNG structure.

+1 please fix the current turbo SNG structure. (psst... early antes will be more fun for recs/drivers)

Why do you estimate that? More shoving early on or what?

With more chips in the preflop pot, it is correct to use looser ranges, so regs can play more hands. I think the added action early in the game, when stacks are relatively deeper, is more fun for recs than a nit-fest for the first few levels followed by a shove-fest when stacks get short (especially with the sub-optimal blind structure that doubles the big blind).

Is the software going to be like jackpots or regular sngs?

Hoping the 15th holds up

gl and hf in sng 2.0 to the holdem guys + all the recs it brings, along with the added 100k

As for me, I'm getting much of my roll off here and shifting it elsewhere since I won't be needing it now.

And if WPN doesn't want to show any support for the second most popular sng format across all sites for the past decade or so(distant 2nd, but still), then to be blunt...they deserve a big **** you from the o8 community. We can't even get a proper sunday special or promotions like PLO mtts/jackpots when our janky little 109 nlo8 cleared its GTD by almost 50% extra yesterday with pretty much 0 promotion. And the 88 HS Wednesday plo8 crushes its GTDs even with a horrible structure(6-max plo8 rofl).
