In the online version, there's a progressive jackpot fee along with the rake so I still don't believe it's possible to make the lowest prize pool 7 BIs.

One curious thing about that paytable, though, is that it confirms Thrash370's hint that the lowest multiplier games will pay for only 2 places.
What it does tell us is that it's normal poker instead of some adding gimmicky new rules to the game itself. There was a sentence on the ACR page that made this uncertain:

"My new E-book will help players better understand how to optimally play the many formats this new product will offer."

So "many formats" appears to just mean different payout structures. Coulda been some crazy random rule structures like deuces wild, 6-street poker, last bettor is first to act, reversed blinds or forced dealer straddle, big antes, 3-suit poker, random button position, fixed limit structure preflop, etc. Random prizepool + random gimmick or something.

Bump

Any additional info available for these yet? Blind structure and speed? Payout structures? Initial buyin offerings? Anything else?

Latest email now says "Later this year, Americas Cardroom is introducing a brand new product called Sit & Go 2.0"

So, sounds like it might be delayed and won't release in October?

When did you get this email? I haven't gotten any emails from ACR recently. Last I heard was October 17th, which isn't to say it hasn't been delayed since I last heard.

Today. It was in the "MO MO MO PLO" promotional email...

I could be reading to much into it, Oct 17th is technically "later this year." But, seems like a poor way to word something when they are trying to get some hype going.

Idk where you've been but there's quite a few of us getting snc money each week from pretty much just the o8 ODs alone. And then there are holdem grinders who also jump in these so they can get that next highest snc payout tier. The demand isn't the problem, it's that we get left out of almost everything. I had to pretty much beg for the 15's and now WPN has made quite a bit of rake from them alone. $30's and maybe even $60 ODs would run in afternoons/evenings tbh, since we didn't get o8 jackpots or even a sunday major lol.

Can we just get a site that works 100% of the time instead of all if this stupid ****? Quit trying to reinvent the wheel, the wheels are just fine... the car needs gas.

The count down you are referring to is for PCPC 2016

Re: ACR new SNG 2.0

If it's not to late to vote I'd like to say that if this format is going to be 9max then please make them turbos. If this format is six max or fewer players then hyper works although so does turbo.

9man hyper turbo single table SnGs are the worst format ever created imo. it's like a battle of who can play an effective 5bb stack the best in late game. Also, I'm not sure nine max is the best for your network considering the size of your current player pool.

Re: ACR new SNG 2.0

As Thrash370 wrote in post #21, he did suggest the turbo speed to them, but he was underestimating how eager WPN is to make every new game hyperturbo (because otherwise the traffic would be lacking).

With the latter in mind, I think he shouldn't have brought 9-mans up at all and should have asked for 6-man hypers instead, but it's indeed too late to change the upcoming format - WPN has spent so much effort on its design and licensing, and redoing it would cost too much.

Not to mention that there's nothing wrong with 4-man hypers that can also allow to pay 2-3 places even at low multipliers, as seen at 888poker.

I hope the 'SNG series' project is thought out better.

Definitely hoping these are scaled to 6m if they're going to be a shallow hyper format. Seems like a ridiculous decision to make them 9mans.

9mans allow bigger jackpots and the ability to payout a large range of finishers, although of course require more people to go off so may reduce liquidity. Personally, I prefer 6max in general for most formats, so I wouldn't complain if these were 6mans.

Making these 9-max seems truly bizzare.

They could meet in the middle somewhere like Bovada used to have "Super Turbo" They can make them 9 mans 1500 chips 3 min levels imo

Re: ACR new SNG 2.0

Judging by the structure they are testing, it looks like they will not be hyper-turbo.

If they use the test structure with 6-minute blinds, it will have a lot of similarities to the current turbo structure, but with a more aggressive early game due to the large ante. Wouldn't hate seeing something like the test structure with 4-minute blinds, creating something between hyper and turbo, as AZ_Vikings suggested.

I was thinking a variable speed structure might be good. Something like the lowest tier (2 positions paid) is hyper, 3-8 paid is turbo, and 9-paid is regular speed. A problem with that would be even more difficulty in multi-tabling, with the various speeds (in addition to the various payout structures and their ICM considerations). This could be mitigated a little by having the blind levels the same and just vary the level times.

This is a terrible idea. You can't have so much variability in time per game. A few more minutes seems fine, but you can't have low multis take 15 minutes and high multis take an hour. Means regs can't plan sessions and fish are disincentivized from regging for the chance of a fast score. The low time per game of standard jackpots is one of the big reasons they're successful.

Fair points. I'm not sure how much the incentive would be impacted compared to the likely turbo-ish structure we'll see. Perhaps keep all but the lowest tier as turbo. Would be interested to hear your thoughts on the test structure (in the SNG lobby as $5 DEEP STACK).

Your last point is the main motivation for my suggestion -- a way to lower the average game time without having a crappy structure for the games that pay deep. Hyper-turbo 9m with a big early ante for 2-paid places does not sound overly horrible.

Re: ACR new SNG 2.0

Personally I think they'll have huge liquidity problems as 9man, and I also didn't know they'd replace all sng offerings with jackpot-style sng 2.0 games...do you have any idea if they'll continue hosting any standard sngs? I haven't played any of the new DEEP STACK structures, but maybe I'll play a couple soon to give some thoughts on the structure.

On one level I agree with you that min-jp games could be faster, but it seems a bit strange to have both hyper structures and turbo structures spawn from the same lobby. Perhaps I'm just leery of change, though...it's not that such a system couldn't work. So long as the average game time is clearly defined, having some subset of faster games doesn't seem like a dealbreaker to me.

Re: ACR new SNG 2.0

I have not heard anything about current offerings being discontinued. Have you? I didn't mean to imply that, if I did.

Also, I should mention that the variable speed idea will almost surely not be used. They had already thought about it and dismissed it. I'm just curious about other payer's thoughts.

Do we have a date yet? I'm really curious to see what this is all about. Would be nice to have an increase to SNG traffic. Been dead since the loss of DON's and intro of Jackpots.

I'm hoping I can leave Ignition for good after this...

They're supposed to have live SNG 2.0 at Punta Cana which starts the 25th. I'd assume they either want to get this up right before or right after that series. No confirmation of a date unfortunately though.

It's going to be cool to try these in punta cana as all packages come with $300 in free buyins for either $50 sng 2.0 or $50 jackpots

The original launch date of October 17 has gone and past. I would think they'd want to have them going for the Hi5 series too.
