ACR Check Returned by Bank ACR Check Returned by Bank

10-13-2017 , 03:03 PM
I had a $3,000 check returned by my bank due to non-sufficient funds. i have been in contact with support since Monday and they keep telling me I will have an answer by the end of each day and I still have not received any answers. Today I was told I would not have an answer until Tuesday. This seems a little unreasonable imo.

Anyone else have a check bounce from them? How long did it take to get a resolution?

Also note support has been terrible. One guy will tell me 1-2 hours. Another tells me 1-2 days. Another told me 2-3 weeks. Twice the "manager" has said he will call me by the end of the day and neither time did I get a call. Has been a complete train wreck trying to get any information from support.

It has happened to others. Read through the withdrawal thread and you can see that. One of the reps will probably see this and try to help you. Online support is virtually useless, the two that monitor this forum are both very good.

In the future, use the cryptocurrencies. I don't think I have seen any issues with those reported.

Ya its happened to me before. I take it to the bank manager and she personally cashes it for me and I have no problems when she does it. But if you take it to the bank teller its like 50/50 thing. I think it has to do with it being over seas check it gets red flagged. But if your long time customer with the bank the bank manager cashes it.

Your post is about CASHING a check. OP's is about a check RETURNED for insufficient funds. Thanks for your input.

the two can (and are) very much related to one another, though. often times when you come into a bank (especially smaller branches) with a somewhat sketchy looking foreign check to a random cashier who never processes anything more than your average day to day transactions your check will get sent out to collections by the bank before your account will get credited with the deposit. this will often take upwards of 2-4 weeks for the check to clear when its international.

now on the flip side of this, for the sites, when there are small international payment processing operations that handle these transactions for US players, they often cut bait quickly when things get sketchy in any way. what exactly constitutes pulling the rug out from under a processor and yanking back funds is anyone's guess.

when this does happen and a check gets sent out for collections, it usually leads to the depositor looking like a sketchy jackass with whomever they're banking with (I'm assuming happened here).

if you can get an in with anyone higher than your average teller at your bank you should probably do it.

Appreciate the insight. However, OP was asking if anyone else has had a check bounce and how long a resolution took? If I was to assume anything, it would be that check was deposited, funds made available, and later down the line, the check was returned to bank for insufficient funds.
