60 min LR MTT;s

Ok,

Instead of clogging up every thread with the same things i am opening this to get your ideas.

Someone said, post your schedule for 60 min late reg tournaments.

Its kind of like asking you to do my job.

I would be interested to hear a few ideas on what you want.

So post what schedule for these you would like. I will implement the one i feel works best with the current schedule.

Please, please do not go back and forth with other info. Lets keep this clean.

Re: 60 min LR MTT;s

I'm so glad about this thread...

I really.can't give you a schedule personally because my work schedule is not normal. So my opinion.on that wouldn't be fair. I'm happy when fate allows them to coincide..

I'm thinking a nice monthly tournament like for 100 buy in 50k g.t.d (60 late) for us rec and the other guys will follow(I'm sure)..

Accompanying satellites etc..

I would make the time for that one and think I had a chance..

It really would be fun for all the e Mtt rec or drinks like me..

Not too expensive/or cheap with 100 buy in done monthly.. or higher buy in done monthly with satellite.. just something fun a doable..

Even if u don't want the monthly, on my roving days off I would look forward to c ing those 60,s

Re: 60 min LR MTT;s

Ok please understand, 6 max is really not as popular as you think. I have tried and tried but results just prove that it is very unpopular. I will put a couple in there but it has to be micro/low buy ins.

I will look into a monthly. Not sure if 60 mins for lets say 500 players would work right now, especially in low season.

Re: 60 min LR MTT;s

there's currently a 55 that starts at 10pm and never gets enough players to run. move it to 8:30 or 9pm and give it 1hr late reg with the 3k chips and the 10 min stucture with early antes.

also i would like the 109 5k to be moved from 9:45 to 9:15 and give it 5K chips instead of the 3k that it has now. keep the 2hr late reg and 10min levels for this one

Are you caught up on this thread https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/21...-ding-1525924/

Myself and a number of players have suggested multiple times a nightly high buy in turbo. Get rid of the current $150 and make it a turbo with one hour late reg.

the 150's fine

there's already a 88 turbo in that time slot that barely gets 40 players most nights

Ok lets try again.

Keep this thread clean.

Lets hear a schedule for 1 hr lr tournaments. Lets go for roughly 7. I will see what works with what we have currently. If not i will come up with something myself tomorrow.

Stick to new mtts, not current.

Its hard to give you suggestions if you're against changing some of the current tourenys to 1 hr. The reason is simple you're going to over saturate the schedule with options and fragment an already small player pool.

Im just asking for suggestions. As i said if not i will come up with something tomorrow.

Many posts in many threads saying we dont have any etc. How well they would do and everyone would play them. With things like this i like to hear your ideas. Here is an example.

2pm - x buy in - x gtd - x blind structures

3pm - " "

etc

Re: 60 min LR MTT;s

My work schedule is eradicate....

I can't make any suggestions, just glad something is moving. I don't expect the world.

But my experience as far as rec grinding Mtt behavior is..

You should space it 2 hours apart.. we donks like to renter "New" tournaments when/if we don't make the cuttoff or even 3 hours apart.

Believe it or not we occasionally final table..

Just so there no dead zone for scheduled tournaments... especially on micro/low levels..

In time as season.and our participation provides a nice monthly, daily or weekly for us.

The on demands are useful in this current tournament schedule but not the same taste as,a scheduling 60 late tournament which I think is a sweet spot for us..

Re: 60 min LR MTT;s

I haven't been one of the players who is vocal about the site needing 1 hour late registration. My suggestion would be to sprinkle a few of varying buy ins during the day and morning, and put a few more towards the end of the day.

So basically I'm saying the later it is, the more games with 1 hour late registration there should be. I'd also specifically like a 55 dollar at 10 or 11PM w/ 10 or 12 minute blinds and 1 (or 2 max) hours of late reg.

FWIW, I don't know if 1 hour late reg is going to work out to have big fields as some people claim, but I don't think that adding in some options and trying it out would hurt. I think it's likely that a couple tournaments may be pretty successful, but that for the most part many are going to end up with small fields.

Re: 60 min LR MTT;s

I think the td wanted something a little long-running..

We all(myself, you guys, td) have to compromise..

We're not looking to "get over" with free money in layover or anything..

If it helps initially keep the g.t.d a little lower. Generally the guys wanting this aren't trying to angle you out of every penny, we have day/night jobs..

We just want a "fair fight" the 60 late gets the adrenaline going when you break it..

The on demand are useful but a,little short. I reiterate the 60 is a sweet spot (for a lot of recs with jobs).

Think we're going for normal here with 10/12 minutes.blind..

I'm not in a position to give advice on times and blinds.

I don't disagree with anything you said..

As a rec donk grinder the fields might be smaller but it's better than on demand and the 3 hour isn't doable at all for us for a variety of reasons.

Start small g.t.d..I would love to play all day on a day off or a couple after work.

Get tired of lingering on demand or for the one doable tournament.

I like what you said though.

Re: 60 min LR MTT;s

I'm just going to do prime time, Tuesday schedule. Existing tournaments plain, new tournaments in bold. I left out the super micros, and I'm just wildly guessing at the new guarantees.

06:00 $028 $10k
06:00 $003 $1k REBUY
06:15 $015 $1k PLO
06:15 $012 $500 1-HOUR LATE REG
06:30 $030 $1.5k 6-MAX TURBO
06:45 $005 $400
07:00 $100 $15k
07:00 $006 $2k REBUY
07:00 $010 $500 HYPER MEGA
07:15 $040 $4k 8-MAX
07:30 $007 $400 PLO8 TURBO
07:30 $020 $1k 1-HOUR LATE REG KO
07:30 $007 $500 1-HOUR LATE REG TURBO

07:45 $001 $100 PLO 6-MAX
08:00 $005 $300
08:00 $030 $3k
08:15 $010 $500 1-HOUR LATE REG
08:20 $150 $8k
08:30 $020 $1.2k TURBO
08:30 $002 $500 1-HOUR LATE REG TURBO REBUY
08:45 $080 $4k MEGA
09:00 $005 $300 TURBO MEGA
09:00 $025 $1k PLO 6-MAX
09:00 $007 $1k 6-MAX KO
09:00 $006 $1k REBUY
09:00 $050 $1k 1-HOUR LATE REG
09:15 $020 $1.5k 4-MAX
09:30 $030 $2k TURBO
09:45 $003 $100
09:45 $100 $5k
10:00 $010 $1k
10:00 $050
10:00 $007 $200 1-HOUR LATE REG TURBO PLO
10:15 $005 $400 1-HOUR LATE REG TURBO

10:30 $010 $1.2k TURBO
11:00 $005 $1k
11:30 $005 $400 6-MAX TURBO
12:00 $015 $500 MIDNIGHT MADNESS NO LATE REG TURBO FREEZEOUT
12:00 $010 $200 MIDNIGHT MADNESS NO LATE REG TURBO FREEZEOUT PLO

To really do this right you'd need a schedule board and an idea of the times when more people were busting (and especially bubbling) out of previous tourneys. Which is part of why we really shouldn't be doing your job. But here's a start, trying to fill in a few of the dead spots for games/buyins with new things. I tried to compete as little as possible with what else was running at the same time. I'm assuming putting a similar-buyin NLHE next to a PLO shouldn't cannibalize the PLO too badly.

Re: 60 min LR MTT;s

I would recommend a couple of low-mid stakes events around 7-8pm ET. Something like this:

7PM $10+1
- $2,000 guarantee
- 5,000 starting stack, 10-12 minute levels
- Skip a one or two of the early to mid levels in your standard structure

8PM $20+2
- Start at a $3,000 guarantee
- 4,000 starting stack , 10 minute levels
- Again skip a level or two from current standard structure

I can't imagine anything like these would have trouble beating the guarantee.

Also I doubt this would ever happen but I think some sort of $10+1 daily double would be pretty cool with bonuses for double cash, double FT, double ship (like FTP use to have).

Re: 60 min LR MTT;s

Your 9:00 is weird, by the way. $5, $6, and $7 NLHE tournaments and nothing at other buyin levels, surrounded by an $80 mega and a 4-max. There's a 60-minute gap between anything that somebody playing $10+ regulars can play, and that shouldn't happen in prime time.

Also I assumed it wasn't possible since you don't have any now, but if it is I'd throw in an 8:30 $10 limit holdem and a 9:30 $10 stud hi/lo with 1 hr late reg, maybe guarantee them at $200 but I wouldn't object to no guarantee.

Re: 60 min LR MTT;s

TLDR;

ok so first I'd like to thank Winning_TD for trying to make changes that will benefit all players on the site. he doesn't have to listen to our input and is trying to work with us to make changes that will benefit us. i'm sure it’s not easy.

second, i personally like the longer tournament structures, why would you not want someone to buy in for full price with 5 BBs and give away their chips 2 hours in? I do however agree that a good mix of different buyin levels, late registration times, guarantees and games is good for everyone. that being said i think you would need to look at the tournament schedule as a whole instead of little piece by little piece. I'm all for whatever draws players to the site.

third. schedule suggestions. now i do not think this should be followed exactly but more as an example of what i think a good schedule would look like. as far as I know most of WPNs player base falls between the PST and EST time zones. so i would think that the prime slots for the biggest guarentee tournys would be something starting between 8-11 or 12 EST (depending of course on length of registration, etc).

now I want to state that I DO NOT think this is a perfect schedule. I think there should be a lot of trial and error involved in finding what works. But for the case of example and I will be using EST as a base so were on the same page. Focusing on the primetime spots

7p $2 NLHE (2 hr late reg. low/no guarentee) $50 NLHE Turbo (low/no guarantee. 1 hour late reg)
730 $10 NLHE Turbo (1 hour late reg—mid to low guarantee)
8p $20 PLO (2 hour late reg—mid gurentee) $3 NLHE (2 hour late mid/high guarantee.)
830p $5 NLHE Turbo (1 hr late reg—mid guarantee)
9p $50 NLHE (2 hour late reg –mid to high guarantee)
930p $1 NLHE (2 hour late reg—mid/low guarantee)
10p $2 PLO (2 hr late reg—mid/low guarantee) $15 NLHE (2 hour late reg—mid/high guarantee)
11p $80 NLHE Turbo. (1 hour late reg. mid guarantee)
1130p $5 NLHE Turbo (1 hour late reg. no/low guarantee)

Again just an example. I made this in about 5 min. I in no way think this is perfect but the idea is there. Mirco-stakes, mid stakes and high stakes have their own player pools. There will be cross-over but as much you should treat them at such. Spreading out the stake with a mix of 1 hour late reg turbos and 2 hour late reg normal tournys imo would be the best mix. This gives everyone a chance to come and play and with just a little separation they will (hopefully) stick around for the next round of tournys. Obv the guarentees depend on the day of the week. Higher on weekends lower on Tuesday, Wed etc. Keeping the options diverse give more people reason to be on the site more often which is good for all levels.

The one other thing I want to point out is the blind structure. You of course want to give play but there’s another level sometimes. Blinds should always be increased flat but increasing manner. By this I mean 20/40, (+20) 30/60, (+20) 40/80 is good. But you don’t want structures where we go 500/1000, (+400) 700/1400, (+200???) 800/1600 is not. I recall playing in at least on tourney on ACR where this was the case. Going 500/1000, (+400) 700/1400, (+400 or 600) 900/1800 or 1000/2000 would be a much better option.

Again Winning_TD thank you for taking the time to consider our suggestions. Obv the final decision is up to you. I like that you’re trying to do what’s best for the both the network and the players and while you can’t please everyone hopefully this network will continue to take steps in the right direction.

EDIT: typed this before seeing tapir's schedule. looks solid to me

^^I would play this frequently, but tbh Stud/8 is not popular enough to get it launched if they tag it with a min of 6 players or it cancels. Probably not anyway. $100 gtd/3 min to launch and see how it goes maybe.

Nice job on the schedule proposal Tapir.

The key thing TD is to make sure you well take care of the rec players in the prime time spots, so buy ins from $1-$20 and even some smaller games. Slots where you have the bigger buy ins like 50+ can also house a micro buy in at the same time as the player pools largely don't intersect. Kudos on opening this thread and rolling with some experimentation too.
