Also, I imagine recs love bounty tourneys, and I know they love 50/50s, this place has been nothing but sharks in steep pay environment, I haven't played in days.

50/50 bounty tournament. Im trying to get my head around this?

There is a difference between prog KO and 50/50s

this is not been sucessfull winningtd, the problem is what u offered to players was not attractive. stuff like PLOHL / PLO / 4max/6max this type of tourneys never bring players or generate volume.

In overall wpn is becoming too boring, I have another idea ...

from 18:00 to 21:00 - high stakes time - bring all the 55$ and higher to this time around, create more higher buy in tourneys and everything high starting at this time.


Most of regs starting time is at 19:00 when the 109 starts, but if you could bring all the High buy ins to the same 3 hour space ,they would play more, creating extra tourneys like the 109$ turbo 10k on sunday, a 75$ , a 55 ...Wpn is becoming to boring and its you who have the power to change that.

60min LR has been successful for the lower buyins the higher buyins never hit their guarantees because there are few who choose to play it.

yeah i should have been more specific. 1/2 buy-in to the prizepool, 1/2 as a bounty, rake the whole thing if you must, rake the prizepool 1/2 only and ill send you Xmas cards forever.

im not going to pretend the request isn't motivated by self-interest (i loved these tournaments) but i also think this type of game would be good for every type of player on the site. also, i hate saying this, but if you decide to add these they don't have to be 60min late reg either.

these tournaments were wildly successful on Merge and they killed them. the schedule was something like this, all times eastern:

8am- 16.5 6-max (10pp/5KO)
noon- 11 (5pp/5KO)
6pm- 16.5 6-max (10pp/5KO)
7pm- 16.5 fullring (10pp/5KO)
9:30pm- 16.5 6-max (10pp/5KO)
12am -11 (5pp/5KO)

every game was an absolute ****show and it was amazing. recs could buy in for $16, not cash, and lose $5. good players could lol when their 15bb jams were called by 36o.

most importantly, every1 had fun. they weren't like normal tournaments; the play was more wild and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. people chatted at most tables. there were at least 10 "friends" in the games that played most days and shot the ****. 3 that i remember were pleasant and had a ton of fun were significant losers in the games.

Merge changed their bounty tournaments to 80%pp/20%KO and killed them within weeks. now they're the same as any other random tournament. 9/10 of that group that i chatted and played with everyday were gone from the site within a month of the change.

right now there is a single bounty tournament between 6pm and 12am. $11 (8pp/2KO), $2.5k guarentee, 3 hr late reg (i think you can reg at 800/1600 with 5k SS, haven't played it in weeks) and its probably the worst tournament on Merge's schedule.

the $16.5 6-max in the same time slot hit over $2k without a guarantee with 1 hr late reg, there were 2 other nearly identical games within 3 hours of it, and they were all awesome.

i'm not saying 50/50 or 66/33 will be instantly successful if you decide to give them a try. i do know from experience that they produce a unique playing environment that all types of players enjoy.

They do have to be 60/dude for real. Howmuchvself interest your going for.

Bounty are fun. Non in micro though..more then 60?fuggedaboutit...

I like knocking down players too. Acr can't set up enouph recs for u? Make it a 3 hour late!

I looked at your schedule and, if you're interested in trying trialing 50/50 bounty tournaments, IMO a good place to start would be in the vicinity of the $10.75 KO turbo at 12:30pm, maybe 1:30 when late reg closes on the existing game?

There you go...make every mtt a KO tourney so at least when we mincash for less than a reentry or fail to cash, at least I can stack 3 people and be freerolling/+ profits since I can't always make it out of 3 hr late reg period as a chip leader....

I'm a fan of bounty tourns myself. Would def like some $7+ added to schedule.

There is no law that u cant have a micro 4$ ko tournament . where 1$ is bounty and a 60 late of course..

For some reason I think that 1$ bounty on a 4$ entry would be too rec friendly. It possible a large part of the field will actually get there money back and a few of the lucky ones a cash also. Make that a gi60 too..

Actually think they should have a bazillion KO turbo mtts. Hard to win an mtt anyway, might as well cut the time wayyyyy down and freeroll the bitch if I don't get near the money...oh, and allow 3 hr late reg as well for these lololol

there is no reason for any low or micro tourney to have 3 hrs of late reg and/or 15 minute level

who in their right mind would waste 7 hrs on a $2 tourney? ive done it before and felt stupid afterwards.

the gi60 should have 10 minute levels. we dont care about gtds in the low stakes either. more ppl will play (making a bigger prizepool anyways) with shorter reg, shorter levels, more game variants/fun game variants

Imagine a large portion of recs having fun and breaking even.. They won't have that..

Even in the gi60 they made the payouts extraordinaryly steep??

The t.d. wantedd me to play a 2k tournament for 2$ entry with a 5 hour late..

All of those tourny have such a liberal payout that if you renter once, you better cash real!! deep just to break even..all the long late and 15 blind are like that. Even micro.

The more rec friendly gu60 has a supper steep pay structure though.."now you see it now you don't"

If they did make a micro bounty, they probably would make the bounty 50 cents and a couple of hours late..

You can't have a whole bunch of recs breaking even or grinding for a profit..

Anyway this site is all pros even on lower levels.. Acr works for them. Between the opposing lates and there corresponding tottally opposite pay structures, it kinda spoon feeds them..

It's pretty tough to squeeze $10 out of a $2 buy in...

The td is throwing in a couple of tournaments for the rec donks...

Maybe guys like me will actually have our deposited last a little longer, log in with greater volume and not regret our deposits..

Don't worry our pennies stay in the poker infrastructure and eventually works its way up and into acr . we pay full rake and don't bonus whore.

It's a win 3 ways around. For us, for u and for acr .

All future tournaments should have that into consideration. On low and higher levels. Every now and again when I have an extra nickle in my account. I like to step up to higher entries with it.

Once again catering to the rec is a 3x win for all involved..

The $50 GTD bounty nearly cleared by the time it popped and within 10 minutes had fully cleared and then some. I'd say it's a success.

There all successfully on the micro level. I primarily play micro untill I get a couple of cashes then I go to low..

Little by little but faster then acr would prefer start making low more friendly. I'm done with the rants for now, then I!!! Would be wrong..

Just to wrap it up the $50 GTD topped out at over $130 in its inaugural night. Seems pretty good to me.
