I've registered--yesterday--and at this point I expect there to be lots of tables filled with inactive players once this tourney ever kicks off. 600 starting chips with 3 minutes blinds...I know this is an "experiment" one off thing but what I don't know is how this is supposed to be fun for the players? IF there ever is a next one of these I suggest making it 2,500 chips with 5 minute blinds.

SUGGESTION: Any chance you guys can integrate text message or social media alerts so that players will be informed when events like this get started?

Well.....It's at 2261 and just a few hundred more players needed to get this started. I agree 600 chips and 3 minute blind levels was not their best choice in tourney structure, and neither was 2,502 minimum entries. I conveyed my OP to support via facebook, hopefully it helps for the next one if they choose to have one. Looks like it may finally get started, hardly got any sleep last night fearing that it might kick off at 4-5 am in the morning with a bunch of sit outs, but then I started to see people unregistering, so I went to bed for a few hours. The Europeans must be registering now, so this thing will probably kick off in the next hour Good luck to all that play!

My virtual ass is for sale to put into a seat to help ya. How much is it worth to you? I take ACR or BCP P2P.

2502 players, $500 in the prize pool, each entry is worth ~ $0.20. There will be tons of dead money and terrible players, so maybe it's really $0.40 of value?
It looks like I'll be playing DONs and watching football when this runs (2357 players right now). So I'll take a shot.

Good luck to all that play!
That's completely insane, and you seem pleasant, so now I am sincerely rooting for you. Good luck to you too.

Not surprised at all that this is going to run. The sng traffic has been significantly growing every week. When I first joined I was having problems getting in decent volume but it's no longer an issue.

Lift off occurred at 12:38 ET. So happy for all those who waited 24 hours plus for that to happen.

Well poop. 3rd or 4th hand I open shoved a pair of 9s--was called by AJo--and the river was a jack. FML

I wish I registered last night when I could have. LOL

Of course it went off with many sitting out. I woke up to find it went off, and I had blinded off. I don't care for a small freeroll, but this 'promo' probably left a sour taste with many people, especially west coasters, who waited yesterday only to get ****ed over while they slept.

Sloppy, last minute, directionless promos wont get you off the ground.

This... horrible idea to let this go off in the middle of the night. Not that I care about a $500 freeroll but the whole thing was run poorly.

It was just a test...

And ITT we prove that people will complain about literally anything.

I can't....

With some good satellites in the last month+, they'll be fine.

The Cage saw about 40 people register in the final hours (for $5k), I guarantee you plenty of people will come out for the million...and a different crowd than those who spend their time chasing freerolls (and complain about them).

I mean, it's kind of dumb to do a freeroll for all of the "fun" players that doesn't fill until almost 24 hours later and has a mass amount of people sitting out. I couldn't careless about a freeroll, but getting more fun players on the site is a really big deal. Setting up a freeroll that requires 2500 people to run as an on demand tournament is a pretty ******ed idea. The idea is to attract players, not piss them off because they thought they were playing a tournament that didn't go off until a day later.

They'd be much better off doing a nightly, weekly, or monthly freeroll at X time that they could advertise for and actually attract new players to the site. I guess at least they're trying, but it's just one lol idea after another.

Just to reiterate this was only a test guys.. It wont ever be running again and the reason i made it an on demand was so that it would only run with the required amount of players.

The freeroll was a great idea, the OD part of it not so much. Merge used to run a 50 seats to their 100K freeroll every Saturday that had a qualification, why not try something like that? Kills 2 birds with 1 stone, filters people into your Sunday major and gets some of the "fun" players to play more or stick around.

They also used to have a monthly $10K that had qualifications to get into. This was back when they had twice as many players as now.

If i didnt make it an On Demand it probably would of got to 1200 players which wouldnt of even come close to what we wanted to achieve.

Things are on the up so who knows what we will do next..

I see your point, and FWIW I wasn't referring to you because the vast majority of your posts are constructive or productive.

I just like to stir up trouble.

I just so happened to be logged in and playing when this freeroll finally ran. Made a little bit of money .

Only suggestion would be to improve the structure prior to the next go around.
