25NL - Winrates/Downswings 25NL - Winrates/Downswings

I am currently experiencing a big downer at 25NL, ~20 buyins in 10k hands. I've played 7k hands at 10NL and am beating that. Obviously these are small sample sizes at each of these stakes, but how often does a downswing like this occur these days at these stakes? (for the winners on this forum)

I feel like I am playing well and was just looking for some input on the state of the games.

Are you playing cap games? Mix of everything available? How many tables on avg. for that 10k hand sample?

You should do a forum search for how to evaluate your database. Play around with some filters and look for some leaks. Then post spots that seem to be popping up a lot in your review and get advice in the micro stakes no-limit forum.

25NL is tough on BCP. There are a lot of bad players, but, the rake is very tough to overcome with the beast promotion and bbj taking a lot off the table. Keep working hard though, if you find success in that online game, you're likely developing into a strong player.

I honestly think nl25 is virtually unbeatable in the long run unless you're one of the best players to live. The rake is just too much to overcome for almost all winning players.

rake sucks but it's definitely beatable.

Yeah, if your normal 1 rake winrate is like 4BB/100.

They take .27 from a .50 flop. They actually alter the game because of how high the rake is. Take that example for instance. You are the small blind and everyone folds to you. Do you even consider calling knowing you'll just be playing to win your blind back on the flop if it's checked. It's nuts.

is there less rake impact at NL50 on BCP?

I used to be a solid winner at 100NL on stars pre black friday and am just getting back into the online game. I see the changes in these games and I believe I can pick it up quick. I wanted to "prove" to myself that I can beat 25NL before I moved up, but this seems like the rake may be too tough to overcome

i'm sure rake is a bit easier to deal with at 50nl, and rake sucks especially with the beast and bbj tables, dont get me wrong, but 25nl is beatable. And yes the graph is not hundreds of thousands of hands, but i dont plan to stay at 25nl longer than i have to. And yes, i did take some nasty variance around 14k hands, but i'm still beating it and well on my way to having a roll for 50nl.

Unless you start your own tables or always play on the best 3 or 4 tables the games are gonna be close to unbeatable.

nice job, this proves that the games are indeed beatable.
