Yeah, it changed from 20 levels to 25. So was 4 hour late reggy at one point. Prob just a error.

Looks like massive overlay possible even with 5 hour late reggy
02-24-2015 , 03:54 PM
I didnt even know they were running it again today until i got on here. i missed yesterday just got in an hour late, but with the amount of late reg i could have probably waited another hour

i was thinking the same about the overlay

if this mtt is going to have levels like
175/350, 375/750, 450/900

then why the hell does it not have 600-1200 and jumps from 500/1k to 750/1.5k??

get rid of that comical 5/5 first level and add 600/1200 lmao

stop hating on the 600/1200 level in nearly every tournament wpn.
02-24-2015 , 05:35 PM
They should revert to a 10k GTD daily and a 20k on sunday. Will most likely cover the GTD that way. This looks like it will fall way short. Good effort, wish more played...
02-24-2015 , 06:47 PM
good to see change in structure as it ended at 4:30 AM!!!

winning_td any chance we can get a similar $33 40k?
02-24-2015 , 07:11 PM
Might not crush the GTD today, think you guys need to put a warning to players when you run these type of tournaments like this or announce when it will be on the schedule.

I think a $33 $40k GTD as mentioned above would meet GTD if announced about a week in advance and run on a sunday.
02-24-2015 , 11:39 PM
Yeah WTF, I didn't even know there was another $11 20k GTD today?!?!!?

obv I missed it completely as did many other people apparently; there was over 5k in overlay today.

granted it was at 2pm EST on a Tuesday, which is a bizarre start time for such a large GTD. fwiw, i only found out about the first one on Monday because I was logged into the client on Sunday and saw it advertised in the scrolling promo box at the bottom of the lobby windows.

I do want to give WPN props for running these tourneys. i really enjoyed yesterdays event...from the start, the chips were flying everywhere and it easily crushed the GTD despite the 3pm EST start time.
02-24-2015 , 11:49 PM
Yea didn't see much advertising for today's tournament they should easily be able to hit the guarantee if they put it in the promotions window
02-25-2015 , 12:02 AM
I applaud WPN on running this again with no promo. I think we can assume with any promotion this would have AT LEAST(low balling) another 200 entries. there are many players who never even sign in on a Tuesday. I love that WPN is willing to lose money in the short term to tweek things for the long term. many sites don't have the forward thinking to INVEST in experiments like this. They sit back and expect player pools to grow. so thanks WPN for putting your neck out there with things like this and the million.

as for the two guys above me and the $33 40k suggestion.. I think a $27.50 25k has a more realistic chance of hitting guarantee weekly. you are asking for 1334 players if I did the math right for the $33 40k tourney...not saying it isn't possible. but, to attain that weekly is tough imo. Also, considering they have the $200 50k there might be an issue of people ditching the 50k to take their shot in the 40k for much less of an investment. just my thoughts. if this was a 1x a month thing though I think it could def work.
02-25-2015 , 02:10 AM
See they took away tomorrow's 20k GTD. I really hope they do a 10k GTD daily as I mentioned prior, Should cover easily. Than do a 20k GTD on sundays for a micro stake major...

I do concur with allinNoRubbers that considering no promo going for a repeat was a nice attempt, wish more played to make this a daily...
02-25-2015 , 02:14 AM
They need to advertise it more is all but 20k might not hit every day during the week so 10k or 15k,etc. seems cool.

I'd love to see this network do a $1 rebuy and addon tournament where people can just go nuts. Stars has this still and I remember loving that tournament cause with all the rebuys it actually got to a nice prize pool.
02-25-2015 , 02:32 AM
After thinking twice Allinnorubbers is right the $25k GTD would be more realistic.

O yeah, off topic, me and a couple of friends have a thing now of yelling All in no rubbers! when we shove lmao, came from seeing your name on tables so much.

funny you should mention this because I stumbled on one of these the other day in the lobby. it was a funny off color listing, took place at like 9:30pm est, and just said $1r/$1a.

I also used to have a ton of fun in these back in the day, so I registered for ****s and giggles. it only ended up getting like 24 runners and I probably accounted for >25% of the prize pool just goofing around, lol. the structure was cool, though. it had 10 min levels and just 60 mins of late reg. a 1500 chip starting stack with the ability to doubly buy, and the add on was 7500 chips (which at the end of the rebuy period was still like 25bb effective). I really enjoyed goofing off in it!
02-25-2015 , 09:32 AM
agreed a $25k 33 would be nice even if its alongside the $11 20k so people can play both.

so whats up winning_td lets advertise and give this a shot ALLIN NO RUBBERS!
02-25-2015 , 11:48 AM
Will they be running this today again?
02-25-2015 , 12:47 PM
I saw the promo banner in the client today, but don't see it in the lobby. Meh, was looking to play it today.

Yeah, saw the promo banner on bottom of client today. They must of scraped due to overlay yesterday.

Loved the 12 minutes levels though.

Why not structure it the way Pokerstars structured their rebuys in 2010?

-$10 buy in

-$1,500 starting chips

-Double rebuys

-Add ons available after the rebuy period ends. (On Pokerstars the rebuy period ended after 1 1/2 hours and added $4,000 chips on the add on)

-10-12 minute levels (Pokerstars was 10 min)

With this structure, Pokerstars was able to guarantee $45,000 twice a day (11:00 am and 7:00 pm) and easily hit $75,000-$100,000 on a regular basis. The small starting stack of $1,500 chips motivates players to double rebuy and adds more money to the pot much more quickly. So, you don't need the 5 hour late registration that everyone hates.

With what you're doing, players aren't going to put more than $20-30 in the pot. With the structure I just posted above those same players will easily throw in $50-60 and you'll hit your $20,000 GT much more easily.

Just, FYI.

Because WPN isn't Pokerstars.

That's totally irrelevant.

The structure I listed above would increase the prize pool and allow the $20,000 GT to be met more easily.
02-25-2015 , 10:28 PM
No, making it a rebuy just makes it more expensive for players. The way you listed makes it so you are at a severe disadvantage if you don't take your rebuys, taking it from a $10 MTT to a $30+ MTT, and then it's something completely different and lots of players will not play it.
