Can't decide if I'm most disappointed by how bad Perkz has been, or how the much vaunted bottom lane hasn't been hard carrying.

It's like 90% their ****in pick/ban and 10% perkz it's just absurd how awful their pickban is.

Can't believe that through 3 games there's not a single team that's 3-0.

My updated rankings after week 1:

Contenders

1. ROX Tigers (+0, Lost to CLG with Sol, least bad loss of the tournament.)
2. SK Telecom T1 (+0, Looked really good at times, lost to FW which is not unexpected.)
3. Team SoloMid (+0, Lost to RNG, but beat SSG.)
4. Samsung Galaxy (+1, Lost to TSM, but beat RNG.)
5. EDward Gaming (-1, Worst loss versus INTZ, without a quality win.)
6. Royal Never Give Up (+2, Lost to SSG, but beat TSM.)

Pretenders

7. Counter Logic Gaming (+6, Truly Counter Logic, in good shape.)
8. Cloud 9 (+1, could still finish 1st or 4th in their group; lots of flaws.)
9. ahq e-Sports Club (+1, one of the few teams to win and lose the games they were supposed to.)
10. Albus NoX Luna (+6, They look like such scrubs but wow, not far from 3-0.)
11. Flash Wolves (-4, disappointing week.)
12. G2 Esports (-6, Holy ****, haven't looked completely inept but man.)
13. I MAY (-2)
14. Splyce (-2)
15. H2k-Gaming (-1, look worse than their 1-2 record.)
16. INTZ e-Sports (-1, Even though they went down, this is much closer to the top teams than my pre-groups rankings.)

Unlucky for Group D, where a contender will be eliminated next week.

Rox Tiger #1 eh. Do you think they are sandbagging? The way they lose the early game is extremely concerning, I feel like vs the top ~10 they have so little equity at 20 when they are down this much gold. And it's not like they were even unlucky or anything, they just seem to be playing very poorly pre 20.

I don't agree about Albus either. The win against CLG, CLG played extremmmmely bad. They got their dream comp vs G2. The time they didn't play their dream comp, or versus a team who was almost trolling, they looked very bad after the early game.

G2 is depressing, so so much worse than I thought they would be.

I wonder what scrims have looked like for c9. In the first 2 games Meteos looked so underwhelming, though game 3 was a lot better.

Hopefully in week 2 no one is sick and we continue to get some interesting games.

Meteos playstyle is just bad on this meta, you need to do something significant at the 3 min mark

I hope clownfiesta continue week 2, those worlds are better than last year

It was a pretty bad week for ROX, they've fallen a lot, just still no one to put higher. If SKT was 3-0 and dominated all three games like they did versus C9 I could put them first, but TSM/EDG couldn't have overtaken them even with similar weeks. I do think they're sandbagging at least to the extent that if they were trying to maximize their chance to beat CLG they know to ban Sol.

It can't happen, since no NA team is 3-0, no one can get a tiebreaker match without at least winning one game. So 0-9 is the worst possible scenario.

At least EUW is getting a wake up call.

OG got away with their comments about their awful workethic or how useless coaches were, because they performed along with FNC last year. Now if EU doesn't make it out of groups there will be a lot of fanpressure on EU to perform and that hopefully changes the workethic.

I doubt that next year EU is gonna do better than NA, considering all the money that flows into NALCS right now along with the experience for infrastructure of NBA teams. EU right now only had Schalke who instantly got relegated and overall they seem to be lacking money.

Group A plays tomorrow with ROX, CLG, and ANX at 2-1 and G2 at 0-3. Play opens with G2 vs ROX, and in the likely event G2 loses, they'll be the first team eliminated from this world championship.

My predictions:

ROX > G2 (G2 moves to 0-4 and eliminated.)
CLG > ANX (CLG moves to 3-1, tied with ROX for lead.)
G2 > CLG (CLG moves to 3-2, G2 plays KaBuM!)
ROX > ANX (ROX moves to 4-1.)
ANX > G2 (G2 ****s CLG again as ANX moves to 3-3.)
ROX > CLG (ROX wins group 5-1, CLG and ANX move to tiebreaker.)
CLG > ANX (CLG moves on as the second seed from the group at 4-3.)

How is 3rd/4th determined if G2 and ANX both finish 2-4 with a 1-1 head to head? Is either order in the pick'em correct?

I think he is asking if 3rd and 4th place are tied.
