Don't forget the MF ban

Get so tired whe the casters go on about MF all the time now. Shes not a single counter to Zyra but combined with Ashe she counters Zyra because its a free kill every minute after level 6.

Sad thing is that we will probably see a similar series in the finals except that SKT will be the ones that dominate. SKT will not give Samsung free wins in drafts and they are better at pretty much every position and can pinch Samsungs champion pool much better.

Well the MF pick at least gives me hope that in the future there will be a more extensive pick/ban that is focused on countering more. Rather than just pick the same teamcomp every game and hope you win.

I would say that its more likely that the pools grow thinner since Riot is creating champions for very specific roles nowadays. The best way towards diversity is a bigger ban/draft system imo. More bans and a reworked draft would force teams to diversify their drafts and would also allow for more counterpicking and draft strategy. I also believe that Riot should stop creating champs that are shoehorned into roles and do like they did in the beginning and just create fun and broken champs and let the community decide what role the champ gets...

So it's the finals and I still don't really have an idea if Samsung is actually good.

So TSM is still the only team to take a game off of Samsung this worlds.

Samsung has been good against what they have had to face. Kinda like how H2K was perceived. Samsung has pretty much done what is expected from them with the groups and brackets. They will likely continue that trend and lose against the only team that they will face that are not underdogs against them.

AK: On the topic of the support Miss Fortune, some pros have said in interviews that they have encountered it in Korean solo queue. Have you encountered it as well?

CoreJJ: I’ve never encountered it nor have I ever played it. I just saw it yesterday and thought, “Hey that’s pretty good,” and played her. I’ve never tried her in scrims or anything, just solo queue because it seemed good and in game she played just as well.

Does this blow anyone else's mind? I can't imagine as the coach letting a player (especially a support) take a champion that they haven't practiced at all as part of the team.

The way it was played it doesnt surprise me at all. When ROX introduced MF it was clear that it was part of a gameplan and had been atleast practised in some way but when played by Samsung it was far from clean. The concept of playing MF support isnt very complex though so not having practised the champion doesnt matter that much imo. All that matters is that your ADC is comfortable with Ashe and that your team knows how to play around her.

That translation ...

I mean how different does that teamcomp play when you instead got a Zyra ? Not all that much different, positioning etc. is the same, you hit the slow, arrow comes in, seems pretty straight forward.

Remember that he used to play ADC before moving to support.

So anyone think SSG will win? Or has a chance? I don't think Ambition is playing well enough to punish some of Bengi and Blank's mistakes and CuVee stands out as the only lane with a chance to win most games. With all the focus on laning supports like Zyra it really is a great meta for them since the way to beat SKT tends to be with support and jungle getting good ganks off on Faker. I do think Bengi is who they should start every game, even though his highs are lower than Blank, his lows are higher (assuming they don't put him on Nidalee again) and there is very little chance to drop a game vs SSG with him starting.

I put $100 on Samsung at 16-1 before Worlds started, so I'm hoping they've got a shot!

I was playing poker at the casino tonight and saw a lengthy LOL piece on ESPN, but obliviously couldn't hear anything. Anyone watch or know what that was about? It's interesting to see them trying to go mainstream sports media in the US.

As far as the coverage, it was really tilting watching the lack of adjustments from teams that were losing in a series. They just kept picking the same match ups and getting smashed 3x in a row.

The good matches and match ups always make it worth it

P.S. Currently playing on 17 ping and climbing ladder hard

Went as expected - SKT just having a better game allround.
Bengi was a ****ing beast though. Not sure letting him have olaf is a good idea.

Giving Crown his best champ by far for basically no reason seems like a poor strategy.

Its typical SKT though. They ban champs that are a trouble for their comps and not so much someones fav champ. However if they lost that first game they would 100% ban or first pick Victor.
