In the IG vs AHQ match tomorrow, LPL has a good opportunity to end week one with a loss to the top four other regions. They've already compiled a 1-5 record vs NA/EU/LCK. If LGD loses to TSM somehow, they'll also having a losing record vs each of those regions. 1-0 vs wild cards though!

Please 65% for LGD is just wrong, they almost have to go 4/4. If they lose their match against OG then they are out, even if OG goes 3/3 because they would be 2:0 in H2H and if they lose againt KT and win against OG they probably still have to play a tiebreaker as OG needs to only win 1/4 games.

Same for IG.

I think KT are second best as of right now

LGD and IG are bigger favorites than 65%...
They don't meed to do much to get to tie breakers and crush there. Also they are obv way better teams than their rivals in their groups.

Maybe I code something later to calculate all the scenarios when you put the odds for single matches in, although I'm 100% confident that 65% is wrong for LGD.

Pinni gives them btw only 63% to go 2:0 against TSM, but anyways it's much more complicated then that.

you can get out of groups with 2 wins if the group goes 6-0 and 3 times 2-4 but they will most likely need to win 3 out of their 4 next games to progress.

i still cannot believe how unprepared tsm actually is. they are the only team that has lost in PNB both games. having no wave clear vs azir, kog and getting baited to anti darius comp is pretty hilarious to me for a team that is known to be so focused in their preparations. Although the worst pnb still goes to LGD going full AD poke vs juggermaw. i dont think u can top that in the whole tournament

SKT look far and away the best team but i still think that EDG will be the biggest threat. EDG got crushed by SKT but that also happened in MSI and they came back and won. They have the most stacked team in the entire tourney so if they just up their level just a tad they will be a huge threat. They also likely have untill the finals to grow and that speaks for them to be able to challenge SKT.

The other challengers like KT and LGD seem to have way to big of holes to fill if they want to challenge. Same with IG that has 3 top class players but a subpar botlane. Fnatic is still a wildcard despite their performance today but i fear that this game took alot of their confidence that they needed to challenge.

LGD are donezo. They finish 5th in the reg season, run hot for a couple of best of 5's where they had to beat a team that didn't even make worlds in the finals, and now are getting stomped at worlds. IG look appalling. Non SKT korea looks meh at best too

fwiw bo5 games are vasdtly different.
both chinese teams and korean teams will benefit for it.
chinese teams will wake up and LGD will cruise to the finals.

Hopefully everyone abandons Darius, or at least waits till it's clear, 5th pick purple is for mid so basically only 4/5th on Blue side or you just can't take it, there isn't room for Gnar bans either and SKT showed Renekton does work too. Barring that could 1 team given Darius at least a little help he's been thrown away in game which makes no sense you feel he's first rotation good but then you do everything you can to make him useless

Given the Chaos all 6 games are relevant, which is cool.
