Seriously though, Teemo is a little ****.

My strategy in gold is to build for maximum shroom damage, then lay shrooms where a fight is likely to occur. If the enemy team steps over a few shrooms before or after a teamfight, we'll win it.

Core items for max shroom damage are sorc boots, liandry's, and void staff. It's focused around MPen because of the shroom AP ratio nerf. It's better to get void staff than a rabbadon's.. w/ this build for a level 11 shroom, the void is more cost efficient if they have more than 30 mr. Liandry's is great because each tick of the shroom refreshes the 4% dot. The dot stays up for a while, and with a void staff, it ends up chunking people for a lot.

After that, build whatever you want.. I find that Nashor's isn't that useful early because you rarely get to AA a lot in a team fight. Better to beef up your shrooms.

The hardest lane matchups I've had were against Panth, Swain, Vlad and Karma.

Snowden gave me advice we were doing premades, and I got totally **** on in lane. I was like 980 elo at the time and pretty new. I was awful.

He told me to never leave my lane for any reason, ever. He said to build attack speed, only. If I thought that I needed more damage, that I didn't. Just build phantom dancers. He said, kill minions and kill towers. If they come to kill you, let them. DON'T LEAVE TOP LANE!
If we're fighting 4v5 and you think you can make it, DON'T LEAVE TOP LANE!

I had died like 9 times and I was worth around 50 gold.

So basically, I ended the game with 3 phantom dancers and serker greaves.

I'm pretty sure we won that game.

So my advice to you is build phantom dancers, win game.

After playing him a bit this morning I came to a couple conclusions:
-Throw 2-3 skill points in W after E and you don't need boots
-Wits end for MR is amazing 1st or 2nd item depending on lane
-With the split pushing plan I want to focus more on dueling potential rather than AP so no more Deathcap and only Zhonyas when I need the active against assassin/Zed types
-Rageblade is very good 3rd or 4th item
-Defensive items I'm going to look more at things like Frozen Fist, Rylai's and Frozen Mallet
-Into tanks combo Frozen Fist or Rylai's into Liandry's

I stopped playing Teemo after the preseason changes because my strategy doesn't work very well anymore. The crab blows up mushrooms you place in the river when it roams.

Solved by shrooming up entrances to the river, allowing teemo the same objective control that he had before . Crab is a slight nerf to teemo in dragon fights tho ...

As far as I love Teemo and it's one of my three favourite champs, is it still possible to make a penta with teemo and, if yes, what's the best way to do this?
I was trying different styles - magic pene, ability power, deathfire grasp and so on but never succeeded to make it better than triple kill.

The teemo rework looks really interesting.
Bit sad that the shroom timer has been reduced to 5 mins, but the rest of the kit update looks really fun.

hmm.. I feel like I already have problems getting enough shrooms on the field when not building cdr.

How do you feel about the rework so far? I like how you can use shrooms aggressively in teamfights. When defending a siege I can just launch them from behind the tower as soon as the fight breaks out and AOE slow their team for some great dmg. If it arms and hasn't exploded you can throw another on top to get the extra distance and get to their back line or block their escape. I've been trying to play around with different laning strategies with the shrooms too but once you use one to bounce they know where the original shroom is sitting.

Definitely feel like CDR is more necessary than before now that there are 5min timers but you can still lock down one side of the map still to set up a baron or drag fight.

I've been playing around with Teemo support as well and think it's pretty useful and underrated imo. If you rush the level 2 spike you can stealth in the bottom brushes and the other team gets zoned (unless they invest in a pink which will cause an effective gold advantage through just your passive) and you can literally run back and forth dodging Lulu Qs, Blitz grabs, etc. I've found the flay is really annoying though but with some practice and pinging you can dodge while your ADC gets free poke.

Still messing around with stuff but it's been fun and I just started playing ranked a month ago or so playing Teemo only for the most part and am in my Gold 4 promos. Looking forward to seeing how far I can take this cheesy bastard.
