Dunno how long a gank in avg. but if it fails you wasted that time and could`ve farmed or something.
So my decision if I gank or not usually is a combination of skill of the players in lane(Both opponent and ally, I usually look at CS,Deaths etc.), the champions(An allied champion that can stun is always great. And if the opponent Champion has some ability to get away fast, someone like Ashe for example doesnt).
But im not even playing ranked so what do I know
I actually don't think bad ganks are that big a mistake at lower levels most because your opponents are wasting way more time at lower levels. Going 3/5 on ganks is better than say 2/2 IMO. You really shouldn't be farming that much in Bronze because you can farm champions because they will make huge mistakes. Don't get me wrong planning out your ganks is great but what if your planned gank shoved their lane? I'm perfectly happy to camp a top lane Renektron if my mid/bot lane are shoved and warded.
I think the three biggest mistakes in Bronze jungle are:
-Not building damage and playing damage champions (and not taking lane farm to achieve this)
-Not having early mid/late objectives correctly prioritized
-Not calling plays for your team ("BACK OFF", "dragon now", "shove and take tower")
Any kind of early snowball can and will be thrown in Bronze. I can't count how many times I started 6-0 on ganks as the jungler before 15:00 and every lane was behind because of poor farming.
This is very important because it means you must focus on getting towers over everything else (including dragon).
The best
early game plan is honestly just get bot lane snowballing if it's available because:
-Most gold available to you from kills (and ADC is always squishy)
-Easy dragon once tower is down
Mid game you want to get all tier one towers down because late game you will need to run picks to win (sieging towers with a Bronze team is a recipe for getting aced no matter how fed). Top and bot are much more important than mid lane (to free up roams which makes taking mid easier). You achieve this two ways:
-Rarely ever farm away from your team if you couldn't quickly run to an engage
-Having tons of wards up (if you're ahead in their jungler, if somehow behind in yours)
Late game is 100% about getting inhibitors, baron should probably be avoided because Bronze teams are so uncordinated. Accomplish this by having vision in their jungle, keeping your team close together and buying oracles. Focus on keeping the lane you need to take shoved and then getting a kill or two to safely take the tower.
