Just got my 2nd penta of the season (on Orianna)

Team flamed me all game for farming while they went yolo (we had massive sidelanes pushing against us every time). Feels good to get a penta when they all flame you.

so ive started playing after like a 1.5 year hiatus. placed into gold v. i think im going to take advantage of this opportunity to change into a full time solo laner, cause seriously, screw jungle.

seems quite low for the best video game player in the world

so i placed in gold V which is the lowest ive been in years

im starting to understand what people mean by elo hell. these guys are truly horrific at the game and it seems like there's absolutely nothing i can do to stop them from feeding, no matter how many lanes i gank and get ahead.

to be clear, i was talking about the people on my team, not people in that elo per se. the other teams seem to be quite good!

April Fool's joke is that the enemy team's names are replaced with "<champ> Bot" and there is an announcement that 'random normal draft games will be testing advanced AI bots'. I'd be super pissed if I got in a game and my team trolled or afk'd because they thought they somehow got into a Player vs. Bots game.


Phoooey on Riot for this one, even if it doesn't affect me personally. I just think it's bad form.

I played a game opponents played like bot and lost in 25 minutes, So next game I picked a champ I never played (Brand) and was against a Fizz/Shaco plat duo (I'm silver).

Still thought it was a bot game because the Shaco killed me on lvl 2 gank, and almost nobody knows how to gank lvl 2 with a shaco

Got flamed pretty hard once I reached 0/7 and realized it wasn't bots

anyone with advice on randomly super high ping? i'm spiking to around 1500 every 10-15 seconds, rendering the game unplayable. i've turned off other programs and am the only PC on this connection. i can't think of any solution to remedy this. thanks!

Wireless? Hard wired? Sometimes wireless will be inconsistent.


Is it Windows10? The default setting is to share updates with other users through a p2p (like torrents) even if you're fully updated.


Have you run a traceroute? You can run a traceroute to see where the problem is between where you are and the riot servers. The IP address for the US server is at 104.160.131.1


I'm afraid I don't know a whole lot about it other than the trial and error methods I've used in the past. Someone else may be able to offer better assistance.

I had a similar problem a few years ago. It was before they had servers on the east side but it was one node that was hanging up for 100-200ms pretty consistently.

I tried using a VPN to come at their server from a different node and it would help a bit but would be slower than a regular connection.

The hard truth is I stopped playing for a year or two then when I came back the new server was up, I had a different ISP and my problem disappeared.

Try contacting riot support, they were helpful in at least showing me where the problem was.

Did we ever make a discord server? Sub seems dead and 2p2 channel in the game sucks, but you could find games/group easier.

5 seconds before champ select ends and the game starts, the adc goes "I don't play adc" and then asks what to start/max on Twitch. 10 minutes in he's begging everyone to just surrender because its' 4v5 (he's counting himself as non-existent).

Our Udyr just keeps engaging 1v4 expecting us to followup in bad fights in terrible choke points against Rumble/Annie.

I'm crushing my lane on Kled (first time Kled in ranked lol). I keep turning skirmishes around. I'm getting towers and applying pressure as best I can all over the map. Team keeps dying 1 at a time in weird spots. Surrender votes get spammed on cooldown. We can easily win this game though.


I really think some games are just unwinnable. I know there's a million things I could have done better if I was just flat out better and more knowledgeable about the game, but I felt so frustrated. This seems to be pattern for the first game every time I have like a 12 hour block to spam games and I just don't want to play after that.
