I was getting tilted by my top/mid/jg's unwillingness to get any pinks, but when I get to the match history I find they bought four times as many as the enemy. 3/1/0 to 0/0/1 in 36 minutes. I bought 7.

Seriously though **** getting this guy as your jungler. Every lane crushed, we had 10k gold lead and baron at 23 minutes, we did not win.

I'm first pick. I hover Zac. Our first banner bans him. what the ****.

Sucks. At least guy might regularly ban him since he's the most banned champion right now. (In Plat anyways.) Worse is when people ban out like a Poppy or Annie main and only because they hovered it.

It took a full year for people to understand how strong zac is in SoloQ, but dumb players rather play terrible Lee-Sin to feel like rush

Any carry without a dash is doomed to be engaged in every team fight if there's a zac in the opposing team. Janna is the only cancer champion you face when you play Zac

The funny thing is that zac is pick/ban since a bronze player started to stream a lots of game with Zac

it took 6 months to see people playing op sejuani last year

I suspect people will find Kennen op in SoloQ in about 6 months "oh my god I press R and W with kennen and everybody die"

The good thing is if you are smart and try champions, there's a decent chance you can play an OP champion for 6 months before people start to ban it

Played against SKT Blank in solo queue a couple days ago and gave him his first loss.

How good was he?

I played with this guy a couple days ago - 32-4 in D5. Thought he might be a pro but I haven't found anything on reddit about this account.

I hate when the enemy has a competent Thresh too, but yes, I'm really sad that Zac is such a common ban now. I really want to ride the last 20 games or so I need to hit Plat. (I play him Top)

When does the season end?

Something that always aggravates me: I play top, which seems undoubtedly the role in which you can be countered the hardest (because it's a long solo lane). Because of this, whenever I am an early pick I almost always ask one of the lower picks to trade champs. I only play trundle, so it doesn't affect who i'm picking, but if I can force the opposing top laner to pick their champ before I show trundle that helps avoid some of the bigger counters like Pantheon/Gnar/Swain. There have been a couple times lately where I have asked my adc who is 4th or 5th pick to trade champs and they have responded with "no, I don't want to get countered". That just seems so ****ing dumb and selfish. ADC counter picks hardly even exist. Sure, there are some matchups that are less ideal than others, but you have a support in lane with you so it's never going to be as close to as bad as a counter pick can be top. It just seems totally counterproductive to me, because if you make your top laner pick first and they get hard countered that is going to negatively affect your team's chances of winning far more than getting "countered" as an adc would.

To be fair, most people below Diamond very much over value counters. It almost doesn't matter. I would agree you're right, though.

The only roles where counters really matter at all for the vast majority of elos are the solo lanes, but for those roles counter picks can actually make a pretty big difference, I think.

Bot lane matchups are definitely more dependent on support play than ADC.

I agree that counters probably matter more in solo lanes, but they matter for supports as well. The only support that I think is matchup proof is Janna (maybe Karma as well). If I have a late pick, I'll often ask the early picks if they want to avoid a counter by picking my support. If I'm picking my support late, I'm giving a lot of consideration to lane matchup (in addition to enemy team comp and the needs of my own team).

As an example, my current primary pick is Sona. However if I blind pick Sona, I'm at a pretty big disadvantage if they pick Blitz or Leona, and somewhat of a disadvantage if they pick Thresh or Draven. If the enemy early picks Blitz or Leona, I'll just pick Morgana, making them fairly useless.

I agree. I started playing him late last season and really fell in love with him this season when I realized that titanic hydra > triforce as a first buy, and awhile back I decided to just go ahead and one trick him. Hopefully he can carry me to diamond before the end of the season- I've been hanging around the middle of p1 for a week and a half or so now.

Haha awesome man! I haven't been able to climb out of the depths of gold this season. I blame myself though, the champ is strong!

I play him jungle mostly, top if i get it on the rare occasion. I was plat in S4 but that was ages ago. It seems the community has gotten a little better as a whole or I'm losing a step in my old age.
