As much as your team sucks at doing Baron, the opponent team sucks at warding it, realizing that you might be doing it and stopping it.

Avoiding a problem only gets you so far, eventually it will catch up with you.

In scenario #1 that he gave, Baron could be dark, the LB fed and the opponent carries facecheck into LB and just die. Hell even the Maokai facechecking could be popped, when trundle ultis him. Voli can keep his W bite and then burst it with LB together.

There is a lot of options at Baron, the worst thing that can happen is that you get experience that you can use in future games.

It's amazing how an extra dorans ring does for your mana sustain when playing lissandra.

1 dorans I was OOM really quickly
2 dorans always near full unless perma spamm XD

and lissandra ****s on all the annoying **** in toplane, like akali, whom you may know to be as my mortal enemy (that fatal yasuo game).

I always try exiting and re-entering queue if it goes longer than 5 minutes. I know at some point there was a bug where they'd basically never join you to a game.

I still have 13+ minute queues solo in Gold, lol.

I don't know if I've just burnt out on it or because I'm playing a bit less LoL these days but the LCS has really lost its lustre for me, maybe it's the frequent roster changes

I think it's mostly what you just mentioned with the roster changes. I have always liked individual players and not necessarily a team or organization. If a team has a few players on it that I like, I will root for their team. It's not like traditional sports where we have a local team or anything. (btw lol at me reading that last sentence and feeling the need to add the word "traditional" in there afterwards)

It's pretty boring, ever since I can't bet, I just leave it on, on my second monitor and sometimes take a peak. Didn't even see how H2K lost yesterday after they had a 5k goldlead, game was suddenly over

EU-Finals today will be interesting for me, because I hate OG with a passion.

I stopped caring when riot took over the competitive scene after s2 worlds was an unmitigated disaster

when one side of your map wins 58% of the time in tourney play, thats just a joke for a high lvl competitive game

Interesting statistic I have not been familiar with.

How much of those 58% do you think are due to pick order?
And are the sides assigned randomly, or do the better teams get to choose which side they get (more frequently in a BO 3/5)?

Either of those could impact the chance of winning significantly. The first one by game design, the second one could have that side effect without the mode being to blame.

Or to put it in other words: If team A has a 58% chance on side X vs team B on side Y, would that stay the same if the sides were switched (and first pick remained with whichever team had it before)?
