For me it's exclusively a Diamond 5 thing, when I went on winning streaks last season or at the start of the season where I was gold I started gaining 25-28 LP. Here I still won 11 LP after 14 wins and then lost 28.

It seemed fixed now as I was gaining 20 LP per win in D5, won the promos 2:0 as well so my MMR/LP gain should be quite good now. Pretty confident I could get at least D2. As I'm just destroying D5 games(18:6 on Rengar in my recent games, prob could've gone 21:3 but spazzed some wins away by tilting). The variance right now is really annoying, playerpool is much smaller so real smurfs, scripters and eloboosters appear more often. Prob gonna try to get one win in D4 and see how much LP I gain and then decide if I wanna try to get to Diamond1.

either my MMR is way too low somehow or it's broken

i suspect the latter since i don't really have big losing streaks + it's not rising when i win a lot

also getting loads of afks lately (pretty much since patch 5,11)

edit: watched gross gore stream yesterday, was really amusing and learned quite a bit (for example always keep in mind the enemy team strengths and weaknesses -> when splitting be careful if the enemy has a rengar cause he can stealth and assassinate)

Someone explain to me why you dont just get a fixed amount of lp and instead have to rely on some vague invisible system?

With fixed lp winning streaks would push you up a lot further and losing streaks would put you down a lot further

Except if you are better than your league you are sure to climb while currently your mmr is more important than your w/l

if you are better than your league, you'll also go up witht the current system you'll just stabilize around where you belong. with constant LP you'd just be going up and down a million miles all day

lost some more games due to afk/idiots

like a max build udyr farms a 30minion wave when i had 4 items

i was behind cause bot and jungle randomly walk into my lane and get 2-3 waves

i literally couldn't do a thing (couldn't go top cause top laner there, couldn't go bot or i was overextending/instakilled

then they say i suck....

going to be back to silver really soon, almost every game afk, losing a **** ton of lp and gaining nothing and my teammates seem to be as bad as ever (as i said denying me literally)

and inb4 "but you make so many mistakes bladibladibla" well guess what, i do

i make a **** ton of mistakes but i'm still better than 95% of the guys i play with/against

It's only variance if the anwer to the question "Could I have carried that game " is No. You still make the same mistakes, you play every role and every champion the game has to offer. Champions you added to your championpool are now Orianna,Riven and Jayce. And before you tell me that you are good on the champions I tell you that you are not. As long as you try to play all 5 roles and every champion this game has to offer you will stay in Gold. Even in the rare case that you right now are able to play all 5 roles on Goldlvl as soon as you climb, you will hit a wall again at some point where you just get dumpstered by players that have 3x more games in their roles than you have.

Anyone having massive connection issues? I tried to get into two games and I'm basically going to be afk for both of them.

i played orianna, riven and jayce a lot over the last season....

even hard carried loads of games on orianna with multiple 5 man shockwaves and very good farming and besides that, i main mid but i can't always get that role

anyway i think ill stop posting in this thread since no one cares + the hypocrisy is really annoying

The problem with you is that you refuse in every way to ackknowledge that it might be your fault.

Once again I tell you, you suck on a champion and you say "ohh no I'm totally proficent on that champion". No you are not. It takes 100s of games to get good on a champion and there is 0% chance you got those games. Especially in roles like Top/Mid where you have to play different matchups. That comes with experience, experience you don't have.
The problem is with lacking experience that you focus entirely on playing the champion instead of playing the game. You focus on csing, you focus on pressing the right buttons, you focus on trading. While you do that you miss out on everything that makes a good player. If you paid attention you could've TPed bot, you could've tracked the opponent jungler better or in teamfights you wouldn't have to focus on your own champion but could've focused on dodging skillshots, keep track of cooldowns and your overall positioning.

Until you start trying to get better instead of telling yourself that you are good and it's only variance you will stay in that elo. Right now you are 18:31 on Azir,Orianna and Riven. Champions you think you are good on. If you are good on a champion you could easily have 60% winrate, now think how likely it is that your truewinrate is 60% or even 55%. Really unlikely, if you want I calculate it later for you.

i never said i was good on them (only orianna) and i know that you're right

i tell you everytime i make a **** ton of mistakes but i feel like im better than the average gold V it's just that i get loads of bs happening

i told you before i get bored when i main a champ + i like playing different champs

maybe it takes longer but i want to enjoy this game too

anyway as i said im done with posting in this sub-forum since no one seems to care and i can't really stand the hypocrisy

i can play other champions but i think not as good as the others, and yes i make mistakes with those champs, just like everyone else but i feel the most save with those

I think I have the stats, even with a generally small sample size, to back up my claim that when I play Irelia, some games I'm allowed to blame my teammates. I also admit that if I was better, the games I complain about would still be carry-able if I was more skilled.
