when you are getting more LP for wins than losses it means your mmr is above the league you are in right? went 2-1 and jumped from 17 to 56 lp

because I'm S2 and don't feel like I play above the level outside of maybe with Naut/Nasus

Finally won a placement match, 4v5 no less. Lulu support OP, also our Varus got 29 kills. 1-3 now, gotta try to sweep the next 6.

I played my first ranked game tonight, whatever the 1/10 word is I'm looking for.....

Played Zilean support 0/3/16. About 22-25 minute win. Had to lane against Ashe and Blitz and it was a pain.

I like lulu supp, works great vs a melee heavy team especially when your ult pops 3-5 up.

woot 4-3 now, 2 ranked Lulu wins 2 ranked Rumble wins, might actually get placed in silver at this rate. Placement matches are legit easier than normals

Also you actually feel like you are involved with the game. I got kinda bored when I tried Janna because it just felt like I was more on the sidelines than with Lulu. Her W totally wrecks any assassin type champs that rely on strong engage if you get the timing right.

Item order on the screen doesn't necessarily reflect buy order. He could have reordered the items. Or he could have had hp pots in slot 1, used them up so slot 1 was empty then bought a large rod which then turns into dcap.

Boots (sometimes earlier if I need the protection/want more magic pen earlier)

then I start making situational decisions. If things are going smoothly I'll usually get Liandry's, if I need armor I'll either build Seeker's Armguard/Zhonya's or start a Sunfire, If I need MR I might get Abyssal here, then usually Deathcap last if I am far ahead or just have a ton of gold at some point to start it.

I remember when almost all AP's used to rush DCap as their first item (usually after boots1 and a couple of dolans rings). Why isn't that popular anymore?

That seems pretty bad in general because Deathcap doesn't seem worth it until you have enough AP for the passive AP boost to really stack up. If you rush it then it is just like 120 raw AP, where something like Zhonya's/Rylai's/etc. gives utility and AP.

There are plenty of AP mids where dcap first is still insanely good.
If you need sustain you go ROA, if you need a big manapool you go archangel, if you need raw upfront damage you go dcap. If you want to bait dives and /laugh at people you go zhonyas ( or juke fizz ults type thing ).

The main thing is, all the alternatives bring a good chunk of damage AND something else.
dcap is just damage and you're usually still very fragile.
