I've been playing quite a few games as udyr. Seems like my KDA is always super low, I have barely any damage done to champions, but I take a TON and have a ton of assists.
I've been playing him like I play shyvana. Just control objectives and pushing, rather than focus on ganking.
Seems to be working pretty well.

Our fed vayne liked split pushing vs a team that has a Yi and Liss. Not sure i can even call it splitting when rest of team is doing drag or other stuff :P. Also, the opponents waveclear.

Final score 34/7/30, surrender at 20. Our first pick was like omg no Yi ban instalock Yi even though no one on our team wanted him. Our jungler took him even though he said he wasn't good with him, and I checked and he had never played him in ranked. Obviously 15/2/5 with a quadra and two triples.

30 minutes into the game. All the forward towers are gone. We win a teamfight but lose some players including our top, elise. Top has a big wave coming to our second tower so I go push it (I'm mid vlad).

After I'm done I keep pushing cause we have vision on their team and I think it's safe. Elise is on the other side of the map, she then sees me going to farm a second wave and starts spamming back-pings on me (because it's "her lane").as she runs towards me across the whole friggin map. I farm the wave because I'm already there and I'm hoping she goes and does something productive on the other side instead of wasting all that time. She types in chat "bye bye, I feed" and then runs straight into the enemy base and dies.

This had been a peaceful game so far, no friction between us what so ever and it was real close too. Needless to say the enemy team gets baron off this and we lose.

at my level at least (high bronze), early game udyr ganks are very strong vs top / mid laners that are either pushed up or your teammate has good cc of their own to initiate. in mid i either just camp a side bush and wait for their jungler (trying to ward their wraiths and see him coming that way) or just come int hrough their side of river high ground to get behind the mid laner and force them to try to escape through river.

Probably important to keep in mind that it's summer vacation currently for most schools (still?) so the ratio of kids to adults is probably higher than normal which undoubtedly makes for more encounters with weirdo trolls like that Elise.

Yeah if top isn't warded its like a free first blood. Level 3 udy is ******ed strong. If they have a weak jungler (amu naut Mao etc) then I invade red after doing red. If top is warded I just counter jungle and farm. Once you get level five or so you can just lane gank bot with ghost and get some easy kills. Dragon is real easy with udy too. Last three games I've got drag before 10 mins.
If we get a kill top I usually try to get early tower top. (No lie last game got tower at 3:50 was hilarious). Early game udyr so good at securing objectives.

I've played a bunch of games with shyv too. She's awesome at counter jungling and objectives.
I dunno I wonder who wins at level 3. I think udyr would.
