Not sure if this is the right thread for this but apparently there's a big ongoing match fixing scandal going on. A korean player on the team revealed it in a suicide note, then jumped off a 12 story building.

South Korea has one of the highest suicide rates in the world.
In fact the leading cause of death for under 40s in korea is suicide.

I wish I could hear the production room when a game is going and they just randomly cut to a random person in the crowd who then usually hides due to embarrassment to now being on a jumbo screen lulz.

Man that creates a ton of chaos though they'll win nlb and it wont matter since that equal 4th and blaze has low winter points so ktb/blaze wont both have enough to hurt them too much

yeah they know more. esp the more boring/tactical games monte knowledge such a big difference compared to eu/na casters

i love how the cameras stick to the booths for 4 minutes after game 2 of kt arrows vs skt k. just love seeing the emotion

after only watching lcs for a while I watched the KTA vs SKT games that were recommended in here and after listening to them (ok mostly monte) talk through the pick&ban phase, it was obv they're in a league of their own compared to the lcs casters

re: donger, the donger pick vs gambit infuriated me so hard, 0 chance he doesn't get a nerf really soon, allowing him to be played in LCS as well as teams not banning him seems ridic to me.

Honestly unless ogn changed worlds q, K doesn't gain much from the matchfix they would be near locks to wind nlb and that would put them out of reach

That`s a pretty good post. Quite sure that most people who watch OGN know every champ and what he can do, while the avg viewer of lcs is probably Bronze.

I think Monte is great and knows a lot and DoA is just really awkward making terrible jokes and pretty clueless overall. At least there is less strategy in LoL than in Sc2 so he can`t do to much wrong.

those are good points indeed john. however, i'd argue that this difference in casting environment that's being created does have an effect on the casters in terms of casting knowledge/deeper knowledge. to make a poker analogy, say you have a couple of equally skilled 100NL regs. you put one in 200NL games with an infinite bankroll and one in 10NL games. they're both to play their respective stakes for one year. do you think at the end of the year they'll still both be equally skilled?
