Saying NRG goes to 3rd is absolutely mental.
Regarding renegades, the hype is real, It's Alex Ich + Monte Cristo + Grill, but not much else, getting to semi finals would be a very very good showing for them in the first split. Wouldn't bet on it.
Than, as NiSash said it's kind of a mess, TL could be 3rd (or 7th), we'd really have to see how things fold.
Also, C9 don't need Hai anymore with Bunny and Rush (best shotcallers right now in the league) they got him covered nicely.

They might have the best top and mid in NA. They also have a huge support staff, C9's and Origen's former coaches.

Yeah and C9s coach did exactly what? Got them almost relegated, then got put into challenger and now left.
And Origens coach, was said to not have had much influence but who knows.

They are still a new team and Korean imports in their firstsplit have yet to show up in NA. Especially because the team is mixed and not only Koreanspeaking.

Impact is not the best top laner atm. There is no absolute best in that area, there are two tiers in na for top laners and impact is in tier 1. but nothing special.
as for coaching staff, it's more complicated, you can't know for sure who's good and who's bad.

also, lemon head coach for c9

Thorin has a decent vlog on this on youtube. I don't disagree with his assessment.

I agree, if you have to have a jungle or support with awful mechanics, just to have proper shotcalling then something is wrong with the rest of the team. But well they hold on to Balls as well, because apparently the owner once said that they don't kick players(lol).

C9 has the three most popular junglers in NA:

Or read another way, 2 of the 3 most popular junglers in NA won't play jungle in the spring split of NA LCS.

Format is awful, they should've had the players vote and then only offered the top 3 at each position for the fans to pick from. Dyrus and Balls > Quas? LemonNation > Bunny and Lustboy?

Fanfavorites, I'd rather see somebody I don't see all year in every tourney gets boring to see the same people. Like I really don't wanna see Rekkles, I'd much rather see Forg1ven or something at allstars.

anyone looking forward to next seasons DFS? i only started playing during worlds, and cant wait to pick a team from more than 2 matches AND not have to predict whos going to go to 5/5 games and/or make it through to the next round.

the one thing that i find disappointing is not being able to view contests that are running/complete, and which i didnt enter. i would really like to rail some of the high stakes cash games, and GPPs i cant afford.

That's sad if Yellowstar waste his last year playing with an incompetent coach in a team more interested by streaming and revenue than performances on stage

Not at all, I'm not fan of anybody in NA, liked C9 though last year

It's just that TSM are like the knicks, they gain money, they are famous, but from a sports perspective their organization is just bad, Reginald is a bad coach, letting players stream is not optimal for LCS/Worlds performances

Just watch the difference between videos on Fnatic life and TSM life, and you'll see why their results sucks

BTW everything is fine, TSM support will be Piccaboo and Yellowstar stays with FNC, Support currently with TSM but yellowstar playing games on euw

Loco is not with TSM anymore, not really much known about the new coach. They also got the FNC-Analyst.

I think the TSM lineup is really strong.

Also FNC streams as well, yellowstar just doesn't. But Rekkles streams like everyday.

I think streaming is pretty important, it gives the players the opportunity to earn money on the side while still practicing the game.

Pretty ridiculous to say Regi is bad based on that reason alone (that he lets his players stream). I guarantee if anyone in this thread was running a team in NA, they'd let their players stream. If you look at the numbers, the difference between 16th and 3rd place in worlds is what, 125K? Streamers like Bjerg or Double will make that in a year variance free. So it's more of a flaw with the NA/league esports scene in general and is probably one of the main reasons why NA is a weak region.

FWIW I don't think Regi is a good tactical coach, but he is good at building a brand and creating a destination where players want to go, even if they aren't a top or even good team in terms of results.

TSM promote their streamers and make a schedule for them - there is a big reason they are the most popular na team, and look at oddone - a retired player now a popular streamer - hitting numbers he'd never have gotten outside of being part of tsm.

TSM get a % cut of that as well because they have a private deal with twitch.
( part of why nightblu3 went to tsm for a while - to stream under their deal ).

Yeah Regi is def a really good manager probably the best in the scene, he knows how to build his brand, his socialmediaskills are pretty good.

Players will work much harder to stay on TSM or get on TSM, opposed to other orgs, even like FNC who is now known to not pay their players much. Having a player who makes 150k+/year instead of like 50k is huge. That way they don't really have to worry about their future in the scene.

Can't help but agree with above posts re:branding, look at guys who formerly were on NA rosters but are retired. Their viewer bases are like depressingly tiny, the exception being qtpie. Often I'll scroll down the list a ways to see if I can find a stream playing a champ I want to watch, and I'll stumble on like KiwiKid who has like <75 viewers.
