he's traditionally be a soloQ bully since people don't have coordination to counter

Either that or drop the duration of shrooms staying on the map. 10 minutes is a long time, especially when the number is uncapped.

To the more experienced players: In a few words, what is it about Elise that makes her such a strong pick? I played her once, and naturally didn't understand her at all.

not an experienced player buy i would say
-6 abilities, including a stun, a %health, an execute, a atk speed steroid, and an escape and an aoe. can do lots of damage while getting tanky with just a haunting guise. with a high skill level she has a potential huge impact on games, having great gank potential and can farm well also.

attack speed, her spider form W speeds up attack speed.

i also forgot to mention a minor thing also, her spiderlings can tank skill shots
