mancloud got charmed into clg and blown up.. Nien moved towards zuna and Shen missed the taunt on him and flew by him into CLG's team, allowing the Malph ult onto zuna and zuna got blown up..

I think the turning point was when Link 1v1d Sid trying to split push while 4 were were trying to get top inner. His split pushing was totally dead after that.

Yeah the korean meta loves split pushing more. Team fight champions like Karthus, Rumble, Lissandra, Sejuani, Nautilus just get punished so hard by it that their barely picked there. Everyone talks about C9 copying Korea, but Rumble has been picked just once! this entire season in korea and is never banned.

Its not even that korean teams will just pick teams that only split push and can't 5v5 though. They'll use champs like Vayne/Cait/Kennen/Ahri/vlad to split push in the mid game and then go into 5v5s with large tower/gold leads

also a lot of using supports and junglers (who are with the adc in the 3) to disengage and / or pick off enemy champs when they are trying to make rotations to cover the split push.

vision control is a huge part of it as well, since its necessary to push as hard as you can but know when to pull back once the enemy team rotates enough people in an attempt to gank.

the counter to this is to pick a team of 5 that has enough hard engage / follow *and* enough wave clear to be able to quickly push lanes and dive towers hard when one or two champs are split pushing. zac / jarvan / nocturne seem like popular picks for this.
