First:

Starting out with meki is really really bad. It does nothing to increase your damage, it only allows you to take two pots (I think, not 100% sure), and it doesn't solve Ryze's issue of the short range on his spells. Mana crystal can be ok in really easy lanes but 95% of the time boots and pots are what you should take in mid. Being able to get in and out is too important

I'm not sure how great boots are vs mana crystal. I feel like starting with the crystal gives you a lot more threat, plus more mana to cast stuff. I guess mobility+an extra pot is better, but in my experience I do better with the mana crystal.

I used to play Ryze all the time and I felt like boots were better than mana crystal, though it's almost entirely because of the extra hp pot...

Just to expand a bit, even with boots I found it really hard to avoid damage trades (which usually end up with Ryze losing more hp) so the extra pot is helpful.

I don't play mid anymore (easily my worst role now) but that's just my 2c.

So, I play only dominion in LoL right now. What can I say, I really like it.

Anyway, I have a hankering to get to 2k elo. Do you think I can do it? Over/Under on getting there in two weeks?

I play almost all solo queue, blind pick. At like 1800 right now.

I'm skeptical myself because I play udyr... and he's a good, but not great champ and my skills... they are also good, but not great.

Thank you to all those who sent me PMs about Jodo. Believe me, it's not my first day on the internet. And yes, I do know what a trollolol is. But thank you.

For those of you enraptured in my fight for 2k elo. I played Ashe and Tryn for my fiance... who requested it.... first in points in both games... both games were completely dominated by the other team. Does anyone else experience this when they play their less than top champions?
