are there elements of luck in this game? i dont see em except for the quality of ur teammates and thats a leak in the matchmaking system and not the game itself imo.

general variety of what you get in the matchmaking system represents a decent band of randomness

they counter the randomness in solo by heavily penalizing duo queues but there is still a clear advantage by duo queueing

just because it's a leak doesn't mean it's not luck. but your overall point is certainly correct

and there is luck in this game, tons of it. If Im shaco lvl 2/3 gank on top mid works alot easier than duo lane with a warded support - however which lane I choose my first gank with depends entirely on which way the map is situated

Is there any way to get to level 30 faster other than just mass grinding? I'm at level 15 now and I feel like this is taking forever.

I really suggest you grind it out, no real advantage to 30 other than ranked ques but queing as a fresh 30 generally means you get stomped. An irl friend is 700 elo after jumping into it from coop vs ai and dominion

I don't plan to buy a new slot anytime soon, so I have like an AP and AD page.

I plan to just get yellow armor (both), red magic pen(for AP), red armor pen(for AD), blue armor(both).

i have more magic resist than armor in my builds, so a lot of armor isnt bad.. but any suggestsions?

Well, there is that decision point whether you try to engage in a 1v1 and it can be a real close decisions at times. If you do engage and end up winning but come away with 1% health then there's no way you could calculate all the variables fast enough in your head that you knew you'd come out ahead. Or maybe you can through experience, idk.

This is assuming both of you used your skills optimally of course.

There is luck in sc2. Say for example you spawn to the left of your opponent, but you send your scout to the right. That is one of the few scenarios I can think of though.

this week I had a straight 10 game streak where I had 3v5 twice,4v5 4 times,1 intent feeder(no items and 3cs all game just run into the enemy) and 3 d/c on top of all of this.

There is ton of luck in sc2 and all the pros are saying it too.
A lot of build orders are complete coin flips situation and at equal skills you can win many flips in a row (hi variance).

The thing is a game of LoL is min 20min and average a lot more,and it is very possible to have long ****ty streak no matter how u have an impact on your team.
That translate in so many hours that it gets on you.

One thing I've changed in my game now is never surrender(unless intent feeder,not just someone playing bad).
At my level everything can happen if we keep playing and I used to always wanting to surrender when we where behind(or seemed so) and realise now I missed a lot of potential victories back then.
I also changed my champs,I play karthus mid whenever I can or sion anywhere.
I don't play support anymore and try to farm a max,playing more focused and watching streams helping a lot.

That's usually how I feel and always take a look at my own game first, but honestly it feels like I'm playing the best I have in a long while. That probably the most frustrating part about it.

Uhm if you guys are gonna put luck=variance then yes, sc2 and even chess got tons of variance. Just look at the openers in both games, à sc2 PRO cant have just one opener in his range (example macro build) or he will get stomped by specialized cheese builds on ALL close quarter maps. Idra is a good example. He in the beginning of sc2 went ballistic everytime he got cheesed, even threw the games prematurely. Massive +ev to cheese him. They need to have varying openers to protect themself from being exploited. The luck/variance part here can come in form as even if youre perfectly balanced in your openers he can hit you with counterstrats bunch of games before he even got to scout you because he tries to luckbox a win against a superior opponent lategame.
