Season 1 is ridiculous though with all of the noob level 20s being paired up in matchmaking.

Because if your level 30 you must be pro?

Soooooo, HoN or LoL? For someone that has played next to no DOTA?

This game is super -ev!! I had to delete it because...
1 I was playing to much and
2 I wanted to bust in tournies to play the game

For these reasons I had to uninstall and take a break from it and poker as a whole... this thing set me back like 2 months!

The game IS really fun, but there are some serious drawbacks that I've found.

1) My main characters are banned from the tournament format of season 1. Everyone bans Shaco. He's banned EVERY SINGLE GAME. Pantheon is also banned almost all the time, and he's my 2nd char. This creates quite a problem with me, as those are the 2 characters i have the most fun with (actually I have fun with Shaco, Pantheon is just "ok", not nearly as fun, but I can wrack up some good kills with him too). I'm not sure what I'm going to do, except try to get to level 30 asap (I'm 29 as of yesterday) and be the "team picker". Ugh.

2) They need to do something about leavers. I've never left a game, and I've almost never surrendered unless it was outrageously hopeless. People rage quit all the time. I had a guy the other night rage quit over the previous player rage quitting. It was unbelievable. He says " I can't believe how many people leave, this sucks, I'm leaving" and left. lol? They need to just start banning people who leave a certain % of their games. Its ridiculous.

Other than those 2 major issues, the game is SO much fun. I just love it. I truly believe if I can't play Shaco I might not play anymore, as his playstyle is so dramatically different than any other. I dunno, maybe I'll try out another stealth char.. Any recommendations?

Just played 4 LoL games. LoL is awful.

Why do you say that? Was there a specific reason? I didn't think it was all that fun, not at all, until I understood the way the game works a bit more. There is a definite early/mid/late game strategy.

Twisted fate is so much fun... lvl 3 destiny and blue buff and you are pretty much covering the whole map at all times.

I do agree with the leavers and players disconnecting are causing problems and they need to punish constant leavers. They should atleast give the team with the less players more gold or something to make it more fair. I don't find that players rage quit all the time... it is much much less than dota. I find that less than 10% of the time there is a leaver.

LoL has a fairly steep learning curve if you never played games like dota before. But trust me if you get into it... it becomes like virtual crack.

I have 50 kills and 3 deaths over my 4 games. It's bad for a bunch of reasons.

Graphics are god awful. I'm not usually one to complain, but jfc, Warcraft 1/Diablo 1 have better graphics. People also spend a ridic amount of time loading such an awful game. HoN loads faster and has way better graphics. Everything feels like it's skating, if that makes sense. Animations are random, spells don't make sense. For example, that hero with cards throws cards out and it looks like you should avoid them but really they don't do anything.

Level 18 cap? There's really no point in dominating a team because everyone is level 18 so fast. Feels like the entire game is centered around being newb friendly. A team that dominates doesn't even have a real advantage over the other team. In my 4th game, we were like 50-16, yet it still took us an hour to end the game.

Items, wtf? Fill up your inventory and you're ****ed?

I'm a level 4 summoner, yet only 1 rune is unlocked- even though there should be four.

Bush is cool for ganks, but it says it's also useful for juking. It's not.

Towers deal way too much damage.

Graphics isn't that bad.... I think you are exaggerating it. Yes HoN has better visuals and load times but you have to buy the game.

And the animations... i never noticed anything odd like that.

Spells don't make sense cause you only played 4 games... the cards does dmg if you get hit with it.

Lvl cap is 30... and yes I do agree the game is more noob friendly than other similar games. But there is still plenty of skills involved. Yes the games does last longer on average than dota(never played HoN)... but alot of the times a team surrenders after 25 minutes.

And how is bushes not useful for juking???? It is the same concept as going through the trees in Dota and the fog of war covering you and you have a better chance to get away.

Towers dealing high dmg isn't a bad thing. It forces players to play smart and punishes noobs that chase too much.

this game is quite entertaining.

runes don't get unlocked until you switch pages. switch to and back and your rune slot should unlock.

and that part about dominating a team? yeah, you really can dominate a team. if a carry like shaco, yi, teemo, etc get fed early game he'll be able to 2 shot people in end game.

lv. 18 cap is there to make the game end eventually. it seems to be pretty good spot to cap the level too if you ask me. items, ehhh hardly ever get all 6 items to be fully upgraded in most games, it is very annoying to me though when you get all 6 items and the only way to get stronger is to buy consumables but you can't carry any. I'd like consumables to be separated from your gear types.

It's not anything like HoN/DotA. In HoN/Dota, there are spots where u can tuck in or you can run around trees. In LoL, if you enter the bush you see the player and you gain vision outside. They are also laid out in straight lines, making it only possible to juke complete idiots.

lol? it forces the game to be boring as ****. it helps noobs because they are safe if they move back a bit. i read all the LoL propaganda, about not allowing denies and stuff because they want the game to be aggressive... well, the towers make it so you can't do a thing. it's hard to push, it's hard to chase. people are safe as long as they get to the tower = zzzzzzzfest.

and it does absolutely nothing. as i said, i went 20-1 and 26-1 in my first two games. yet it still took ****ing forever to end the game.

lvl 18 cap makes the games last longer because everyone gets to an equal level faster.

This is true. I haven't had a poker session in quite a while since I started.

noobs with opinions cuz they play another game are always welcome to share said opinions but dont think anyone cares about them. if you had those kind of scores and the game lasted that long your doing it wrong ive played a **** ton(1kish) of games and most of my game end around 25-35 min like 90% ive played less than 10 game that went over an hour.

anyway all ur opinions are clearly based on 5v5 which is ass if your pugging anyway 3v3 is much faster paced and fun

I used to dabble in DotA but struggled with the advanced micro needed to be good. LoL is perfect for me and I've been winning so far. I'm only a level 5 summoner so far tho.

I've been using Gargas or Gragas, the big drunk dwarf. He absolutely obliterates people and cannot be killed.
