what? a kill 50 minutes in means so much more than one 10 minutes in. Like if you get picked off 50 minutes in your teams gonna lose a tower/inhib or a baron at the very least

well its means alot in a different ways i guess. if u kill someone lvl 5 or so u made a big step towards winning ur lane.

plus u get extra XP+ extra gold + more creeps while hes dead (even more XP + and gold advantage).
winning ur lane makes u snowball => games not gonna be 50 minutes long.

and yeah i understand that its a big advantage if u pick someone off at minute 50, but in a different way cause gold and XP are irrelevant at that point.

one kill by you at lvl 5 is not gonna snowball the game in the same way as killing someone 30 minutes in and grabbing a baron.

You just can't really accomplish anything with early kills, a lvl 1 kill gets a nice amount of gold but a lvl 7 kill means you prob can push your lanes tower.

Kills matter all around, but imo the early ones are actually more important. If you are fed early, there is no stopping you late game.

I agree since most games dont go past the 20-30 min mark, the early kills matter the most. This game snowballs hard, when the enemy is too fed and has map control you just cant come back 90% of the time.

I think the higher the skill. the less early kills happen, the less early snowballing happens, the more late game kills matter.

Late game >40 minutes.

As for Cho:
He's fairly effective out of the jungle. In which case I use attack speed reds, armor yellows, CDR or MR blues, and HP Quints.

Pure tank Cho is great up until the point they decide just to never attack you. In order to tank effectively, you must pose as some sort of a threat. Thus why most play Cho AP.

Learned corki over the weekend. He's prob my favorite hero to play. Farms like a beast, tons of skill shots and can carry well.

I've been really hit or miss though, I either CRUSH or get annihilated.

I buy the champs when they go on sale, and have picked up a lot, too. Now that I'm starting ranked play, it helps a bit since there's more for them to decide between when it comes to banning (though of course most of the bannings are all alike).

Does anyone understand the formula for XP/IP earned in a game?

My defeats seem to be 87 xp and 61 IP or 72/51. But my wins are wildly different.

Even accounting for the times where I got the first win of the day bonus, my wins vary from 124/76 to 233/145. Some games were me paired with 3-4 guys who were level 30, would that impact things?

I guess length of the game matters too. Seems silly that one win awards twice as much as another.

EDIT: Didnt see they changed the formula at the end of March.
