What does everybody think about the Phage changes on PBE?

• Total cost lowered to 1250 from 1465
• Icy unique passive replaced with Rage - Basic attacks grant 20 movement speed for 2 seconds on hit. Kills grant 60 movement speed for 2 seconds.

Trinity Force is getting the Rage passive, while Frozen Mallet keeps the Icy passive and now builds from Pickaxe + Giants Belt + Ruby Crystal.

Triforce also costs 215 less.

Not sure how I feel, slow is > movespeed boost but the slow was RNG whereas the movespeed boost has no RNG. Cost reduction is decent cause no one ever buys a phage but not sure if this will change that since triforce and mallet are almost never seen anymore.

Not even sure who would make most use of this since most triforce champs are pretty bad right now.

Edit: I wonder if the 60ms bit works on minions? That could be interesting...

I build Frozen Mallet versus Singed and Udyr, but it's more so others can catch up and nuke them down versus me keeping up with them. Also, not having Phage build into it is just o.O.

The new Phage seems like it's for a character like Udyr, Yi, or Tryndamere, but I don't feel like they have much trouble keeping up with their opponents as it is. It's for assassins that want to chase, but I feel like most have something that lets them do that already in their kit, and a little extra movement speed isn't going to deal with the things that already counter it.

20MS feels so negligible and you don't help your teammates at all with the new effect. I am not feeling it

Might be the difference on like Jax? I feel like people slip away from me pretty often. Still 20 ms is so little.

If you start your ranked career at bronze/silver, you better have a backup plan for that jungler. Banned 90%.

Lots of things are gold efficient, but there's opportunity cost to consider. Compare it to Bilgewater Cutlass which gives an 80-100+ movement speed reduction on its active along with 100 magic damage, 5 more AD, and 12% lifesteal up against 200 health and the Phage speed boost. And then Trinity Force is more expensive and takes a lot more inventory slots to build into than BotRK, so purchasing that Phage is a compounding error.

Old was OP, new is terrible, if this falls somewhere inbetween its an improvement i guess

They should have kept the slow and made it a stacking thing. Like +3% slow per attack/ability max 5 stacks.
